...for the congratulations on St. Thomas. It looks like you have a steady stream of acceptances headed your way. St. Thomas sent me a large 9 x 13 inch envelope, with acceptance letter, scholarship information, and some general material on the school and the Twin Cities. I was pretty excited. Well thanks for the information bm8880! They Emailed me last Thursday to say that I would receive a letter in a week, but I REALLY hope I get in :) CSL - all complete! Thanks for the tip wranglerjoan!

Tough to say, I have basically mapped out the schools in tiers as opposed to number rankings. In the top "Definitely want to go to" tier is: Drake, Creighton, St. Thomas, Oklahoma City. Right behind that are William Mitchell, Washburn, Tulsa. After that were the safeties, which I would go to if nothing else came in with an acceptance. But since William Mitchell and St. Thomas came in, I have somewhat forgotten about the other schools that I received acceptances from. Thanks for asking and best of luck. P.S. You really want to move up to the cold of Minnesota from Texas? You are brave.

This is starting to tick me off! Every time I go in to my account to add in the dates that my apps went complete, etc. it updates me on the "Application Updates" tab! I swear I am not trying to repost my decisions three times in two days :) Sorry guys!

Jillian, hi! Thanks for visiting my little Law School Numbers profile thingy. I would add more schools but I would go so freaking broke paying the application fees. And I am really REALLY banking on Duke (Choice #1) or Michigan (Choice #2) to come through for me. I didn't dare apply to any of the HYS trio because of my bad grad school experience (described in my profile). All of my 9 schools are ones that I'm really interested in attending if they offer me a place and/or $. I am going to be anxiously awaiting the decisions!

on you acceptance to St. Thomas!! Did they offer you any money? They are very generous in giving scholarships. All things being equal (namley money) I think St. Thomas is the second best law school in Minnesota, lower than the U, but above Will Mitchell and Hamline.

I was just down there last week visiting and the campus is very nice, people are friendly, beaches are nearby and the weather is amazing!

I am anxiously waiting. I love the campus and area (and weather) and would love to be down there!!

...I recently visited the TC and at a minimum walked around Hamline, WM and "the U". Of the three "the U" is obviously the most exportable, but I found (by talking with local lawyers) that if you plan on staying in the TC area WM is very well respected. I did find that after visiting, and talking with current and potential students I am a better "fit" at "the U". If you would like more info shoot me an email. I have decided that I am essentially going to either St.Thomas or Drake University. I was blown away by the campus and the people at St. Thomas. But I have built up friends and a life in Des Moines, which would be hard to give up. So I really am stuck trying to decide between those two. I loved both schools, but there are just little minor differences that I am trying to weight out against each other. But it is very difficult. I am not going to the admitted student day at St. Thomas, I would like to but I just cannot take any more time off of work at least until April, but then I will be gone during the scheduled days at St. Thoams, though I did spend two days there in February and was able to pick up on how things worked and what it was like. Congratulations on St. Thomas, I know you were looking to go there or William Mitchell. If you have any questions or anything, I visited both school last month. So let me know. Who knows maybe we'll be classmates. Thanks for the updates and keep them coming.

Saw you withdrew from a couple of schools; what are your thoughts on your prospects thus far? Leaning towards any school in particular?

Any idea when we might hear from Richmond? According to LSN it's been over 2 weeks since anyone has gotten accepted there. What are they waiting for!!!

hey there...I have noc clue why...but I just realized I had comments...I was at the admitted students at WM. I came away very impressed...obviously a great place if you want to stay in the cities. I will def go there if I stay out madison's wait list forever. For what it's worth, I would def go to WM over St Thomas...without a doubt. I've researched the area pretty intensely, and WM puts you in great shape for a great job. Who knows, maybe I even talked to you at the admitted students day! (I live in California, so you'd remember.)
