unfortunately i can't actually prove to you that i'm real, but maybe we'll run into each other somewhere down the line. :-)

Good luck!

I see youre doing early to Chicago...best of luck with that! I think you have a great shot!

Good luck!

It looks like we have pretty similar numbers... hopefully it'll be a good one for us both. I see you're hoping for Chicago - good luck with it!

Good Luck!

You and I are similar enough: splitters. LAC grads, applying ED to Chicago. Hope to see you there . . .

Congrats!

Competition? Perhaps. The LSN results for people in our GPA/LSAT range last year is certainly confusing. Seems like feast or famine. 8 were accepted and 5 given scholarships and 4 were rejected out-right. Only 2 of the 8 ended up attending, though, which gives me confidence for ED.

Good luck!

Our numbers are really, really familiar! I put you on my watchlist last week! Good luck with Chicago--and all those other schools that I am also applying to--and congrats on Georgetown.

NYU

Yes it is for real. The reason I am the only one is because they called my dad (he is an alum) to tell him ahead of time so he could be the one to tell me. They said the letter was going out a little later, so I expect there will be more later this week or next week. I just got to find out a little early! :)

It looks like you and I are in similar boats when it comes to Michigan and Chicago....Hopefully good decisions will come in soon

Thanks for leaving a note on my profile. I think my PS and LORs definitely helped. I wrote about how I want to go into patent law for pharmaceuticals (my PhD is in Pharmaceutics), and my LORs came from members of my dissertation committee that I've worked with closely for the past five years. Hope you hear good news from Chicago soon! Happy Holidays!

CONGRATS!!

on UPenn!! We're applying to a lot of the same schools so you're on my watch list--that's fantastic news for you, way to go!

Congrats!

Thanks, seamus. With your Penn admission you should have great options. You should have great chances in the RD pool, if it comes to that.

I'm happy for you on your great acceptances! I'm curious about your ps though. If comfortable, please share! Love interesting statements.

Sorry about Boalt

Bad deal, but as everyone has noted, they're obssessed with GPA. Good luck on your remaining apps.

I had already maxed out the LORs, so I just sent in a new transcript... there is now chance anyway. Figured I'd do the least amount possible. U should make it fine, though... what did you do?

Chicago + congrats
Saturday, January 19 2008 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the congrats... great job on your acceptances so far! On Chicago... I sent in a new transcript to LSAC (so they'll get it) and I went to Chicago for an interview. @ the interview they seemed to expect that I would update my grades. I don't think there is much danger doing all three options.

Deferred
Saturday, November 03 2007 at 08:00 PM

Hi, I'm not sure why I was deferred... but I only wrote one optional essay (why Michigan). If I remember correctly, I could have picked two. Also, I didn't put much time into my essay.

I'm finishing up a combined degree (BS/Master of Engineering) program, so I'm technically a grad student, although I don't have an degree yet.

Wednesday, February 07 2007 at 07:00 PM

Hey man, looks like we've got some similar New York results going. I'd honestly rather have NYU send me a flat-out rejection tomorrow than waitlist or defer me just so I have a firm answer to start basing my final decisions on. Sorry to hear about the UChicago ED deferral, but at least you've got Penn to fall back on. Is there any school that you're leaning towards right now, or is it UChicago all the way if they come through?

sorry for the delayed reply- i've been out two years working at a lawfirm and some writing/presentations in psychology stuff in undergrad.

U Pen then?
Thursday, December 20 2007 at 07:00 PM

I thought this might be you. It seems everyone I know is heading to Law School. I am pretty sure I'll be at NU next year. Are you pretty set on U Pen or going to wait out the waitlists?

Congrats!
Thursday, November 01 2007 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on NYU! Too bad that you won\'t be joining us at Penn, but that\'s awesome news for you -- good luck with 1L :)
