0-1= No shot at all, but I don't mind wasting my app fees. I can dream for a few months that I was actually considered.
In all honesty all are long shots except maybe CUA (only because PT).
CA schools I threw in b/c the nice weather would be great, but I won't have to make that decision I'm sure (i.e. Ding Ding Ding).

Received date = LSAD report date
**************************************************
GULC ding via thin white envelope

AU, CUA, USD, SCU, and Wash U took their sweet time requesting LSAD reports

Boalt Ding as expected via thin white envelope

GW ding via thin white envelope dated 02/04/05.
Again, no surprise here.

Thus according to my ~$225 experiment, GULC, GW and Boalt do not look beyond the numbers and Grad degress can't overcome average UGPA + average LSAT.

It's a miracle!
In at Hastings! Thick small white envelope.
Through the LEOP, which explains my acceptance with my crappy numbers. Perhaps the Grad degrees and WE helped too. Who knows, but just happy to be in somewhere finally.

Back to reality. USC ding thin white envelope

Stanford Ding letter dated 02/25/05

Catholic Wait List letter dated 03/18/05. Withdrew from WL via e-mail on 04/08/2005.

GMU Wait List letter dated 03/31/05

USD acceptance letter dated 04/05/2005

American Wait List letter dated 04/11/2005
That ends my DC option. When I started this process, I never would have guessed that I would be going to CA.

Got a job offer from Fish & Richardson P.C. in San Diego.
Thus, I will be attending USD PT in the Fall.

Wednesday, August 24 2005 at 08:00 PM

IP and law school
Saturday, September 03 2005 at 08:00 PM

I guess you're also going into IP. I'm an Examiner. I know a girl who was a patent agent in DC, who got into George Mason after a PhD in Biology. She got great grades in her part time 1L, and transferred to Georgetown. So, your degrees will help...the UGPA and LSAT are important for 1L admission rankings. After that, they're not that important. So go for the top of the class in 1L and you can likely transfer to a great school. I'm hoping for AU...should hear from them this week. If you go there too, see you in the fall. GOOD LUCK!!!

USPTO

scholarships
Sunday, May 29 2005 at 08:00 PM

hey, did you get any scholarship money from UCH and USD? We'll probably be classmates at UCH.

Congrats!
Saturday, August 20 2005 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on your acceptances and the job in SD! It's tough for me to see that you've turned down Hastings, but then again, it's tough to turn down a good job offer too! Good luck to you!

what's LEOP
