We have similar numbers and we are applying to a few of the same schools. Which ones would you most like to attend?
Jennifer - I havn't decided which I would rather attend. UTK is probably 1st choice as it is close to home. I am still finalizing my list of schools I plan to apply to.
When did you get your scholarship notification? Did it come with your acceptance letter or seperate?
Hey there, I saw that you were accepted to Denver. That is my #1 choice and I have yet to hear back from them. I am Native American and I see that you are Alaskan Aleut. Do you think that was a big factor in your acceptance? I am nervous becauase my LSAT is low, 144 but my GPA is about 3.42. I am hoping my diversity helps me out.
I do think my URM had a role in my acceptance. I have a very powerful essay and some great LORs. Since returning to school 3 yrs ago I have carried a 4.0gpa so I have a strong grade trend. Keep the faith smo. Hopefully we will see each other in the fall.
congads on Hofstra! how did they let you know of your acceptance?
I received a large envelope with a tee-shirt in it. I won't be going there so will be withdrawing
Hey is the $7k offer you got from Tulsa a per-year number or the total?
That is per year - renewable with GPA
I did get the email but have not tried to log on.
Did they notify you in the acceptance letter that you were being offered the scholarship or did that come later?
the scholarship offer was in the same envelope as the admission offer
I have similar numbers. I e-mailed a diversity statement to Carolyn Dossett in admissions. Be sure to add diversity of culture, thought, geography and work experience. Only 40% of applicants are from TN and they take 80% of them. Good luck!
