Just curious: out of the top 3, which would you attend if accepted to each? Any reason you haven't applied to Yale yet?

Has HLS requested...

do you remember when you actually sent the darrow essay? I'm curious about how long the decision takes once the essay's sent. thanks!

180??
Sunday, January 21 2007 at 07:00 PM

Alright so you probably get messages all the time asking how you got a 180. I don't want to be one of the masses and ask such a vague question. I would like to know if you took any prep courses? And how much time did you spend preparing? Thanks a bunch, and congratulations. Peter

Chicago $
Wednesday, February 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

Could you please provide details here on the Chicago $? That's about twice as much $ as the most I'd previously seen from Chicago.

clarification of Chicago $
Wednesday, May 31 2006 at 08:00 PM

in response to the question about the 126,800 figure- the scholarship is actually 64,000, but if you do public interest in your 1L summer, they add 12,000, and if you do public interest work after you graduate, they add money to their lrap and give you up to 50,000 in lrap money. as they put it: "your overall award might therefore be described as 64,000 (scholarship) + contingent, public interest support of 12,800 + 50,000 (chicago hormel public interest program fellowship) for a total of 126,800. since i'm planning to do public interest during the summers and after i graduate, i think that is an accurate number for me. for someone not planning to do public interest, you would only get 64,000. hope that helps clarify.

ok
Wednesday, February 28 2007 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for clarifying. I got the same award. I basically ignored all the lrap (hpip) stuff in the letter b/c that won't apply to me. Hopefully those details you listed will help others who wander across this profile trying to gather information about potential Chicago scholarship offers. It's confirmed that you didn't get a 180 LSAT mega bonus multiplier... Congrats on the sweep and your incredible opportunities.
