3/27/08 -- Notified by BYU via email. Snail mail letter on the way. Pretty much ecstatic about that.

3/28/08 -- BYU online checker status changed to Decision Status: Congratulations

4/02/08 -- In at Willamette by letter. Nice $18,000 a year scholarship

4/03/08 -- Packet from BYU. Nice letter from the Dean of Admissions mentioning parts of my personal statement he enjoyed reading. I liked that.

4/04/08 -- Letter from Lewis and Clark. Apparently they're already full and I've been waitlisted. The irony is somewhat comical.

4/17/08 -- Got a phone call and an email from Lewis and Clark. I've been admitted and awarded a very nice $11,000 a year scholarship.

4/21/08 -- Got back from visit to Provo. If I had any doubt, it's gone now. BYU it is. Withdrew from L&C and Willamette. Although I refuse to withdraw from U of O until I hear something. I forked over the application fee. I at least deserve to hear their decision.

5/3/08 -- Big envelope in the mail from U of O. I'm accepted for the fall (took them long enough). I'm already making plans for BYU so I'll be withdrawing shortly.

Pretty successful cycle. Lots of options and I'm excited for the fall. Good luck to everyone else who might still be on the fence or "pending" and to anyone interested or headed to BYU feel free to drop me a line.

I just saw your BYU acceptance. It gives me a tiny bit of hope. I was actually a Chinese minor, and so I'm hoping that I have a chance with a 163 LSAT and a 3.36 GPA What time of day did your email arrive from BYU?
