I'm a Paralegal in NC where my husband is stationed. I have a low LSAT, but decent GPA, graduated early and ROTC background in college.

11-24-09: Samford Law put my application on hold to review at a later date. I should have a decision by March 15, 2010. I'm fully aware this means "We want to see how many better applicants we can get".

12-01-09: Rejected from Barry Law. Boooo, but oh well. Moving right along.

12-18-09: Accepted to Cooley Law with a 25% scholarship. Not my first choice, but still on the list.

12-23-09: Accepted in Valparaiso Law (via phone call). Merry XMAS! HUGE surprise, but I'm very excited I will be going somewhere!

01-04-10: St. Thomas Law - Miami offered me a spot in their conditional admit summer program. Turned that down...too much of a risk. Note: Listed as Special Application (SP).

01-22-10: My first choice is NCCU. Best Value Law School in the nation! Says "Decision Rendered" online...so I should have a letter in the mail any day now with a decision. Verrryyyyyy nervous.

01-27-09: Received a letter in the mail from Appalachian with an offer for a spot into their summer program. Same story at STU.

01-29-10: I GOT ACCEPTED TO NCCU LAW. I went home on my lunch break and was greeted with this acceptance (large white envelope). I am very excited and will send in required fees to secure my seat. I will still see what other offers I get, but I am pretty sure I will be at NCCU.

02-04-10: "Decision rendered" via online status checker at UDC.

02-08-10: File went BACK to "Complete. Ready for reivew." at FL Coastal. It was "Under Review" on 01-26-10, now back to "Complete" ??

02-09-10: "Decision rendered. Letter Forthcoming." via online status checker for FAMU.

02-10-10: Got another letter from Appalachian with an offer to their conditional summer program....still a "no" to attend.

02-16-10: Status changed back to "File under review" AGAIN at FL Coastal (status date of 02-08-10).

02-16-10: Received "Congrats" letter in the mail from FAMU. I prefer NCCU to FAMU, so I have already emailed them informing them I am declining their offer.

02-17-10: Got a phone call from FAMU Admissions today asking why I am declining their offer and if there was anything they could do to change my mind. Informed them my husband and I want to stay in NC. They did say to call if anything changed and if we decide to move back to FL. I appreciated the phone call and thought it was a nice gesture.

02-18-10: Thin envelope from UDC. Rejection...oh well. No hard feelings.

03-09-10: Waitlisted at Samford University via online status checker.

03-16-10: Waitlisted at FL Coastal via online status checker.

03-30-10: Accepted at FL Coastal via online status checker and email.

congratulations on your acceptances! our numbers are similar, I am hoping to hear some good news from somewhere soon. You and I applied to many of the same schools. I have you on my watchlist. thank you for keeping us posted :) It seems like this process is taking forever!
