Additional info & updates

12/09/09- Email from STCL with status checker info and saw that my application moved to complete. Was really excited until I went to the web site and saw at the bottom of the page that the admissions office will be closed until January...

-Talked to TX Wes today and they said that instead of 4-6 weeks to make a decision it would be more like 6-8, so in other words, I shouldn't expect to hear from them until after the break.

-TTU sent out a lot of letters today, sadly mine was not one of them. Hoping that's not a bad sign. Oh well, keeping my fingers crossed that I'll hear soon but VERY excited for those who should hear in the next couple of days!

hahaha, love the comment about you being "white (sadly)". It sucks how much URM's get bumped up. For example, I am half Hispanic and my numbers didn't even qualify me for a scholarship, but I got one anyways. My boyfriend-white male and has almost identical numbers-didn't get anything. It's BS. They need to focus on socioeconomic status not the color of one's skin... Just because someone is a minority doesn't mean they are disadvantaged. Anyways, good luck!
