I Have the Best Wife!

I went to visit Lewis and Clark and Willamette. I loved the campus at Lewis and Clark. The facilities were new, the library looked like a nice place to study, and all of the staff were exceptionally nice. My wife liked it to so that is a definite bonus.

Willamette seemed to be a nice place. Portland is definitely nicer than Salem. I can't really comment on the facilities because I wasn't given a tour. They said to come back during the open house in January --so much for flying to another state to look at a school. The school faculty seemed pretty worried about their ranking and overly concerned about numbers. I'm sure it would be a great place to study though.

I received a fee waiver to George Washington.

I'm happy about upping my LSAT by 4 points.

Full ride to Texas Tech. I have family there so I'm considering it.

Santa Clara and UOP made some nice offers. UOP wants to fly me out.

Received email from George Washington saying I was accepted. More details to follow.

Utah called today to offer acceptance. Cool!

Received big puffy envelope from GW with a flash drive inside. It had a welcome video from the dean. GW is trying to be hi-tech! Not sure if I want to pay out the nose and go to GW...Considering my options.

Spoke to the UofU president (former Dean of GW Law) and UofU Law Dean and both said that a few years ago GW is where I should have gone. But considering my interest in international law, I should go to the UofU. UofU law will be starting new programs to place students in Japan and Korea, which is something I want to do. Seriously considering the UofU.

On my way to Utah. Arizona schools are way too slow for me. Hawaii was a nice thought--I might go if some sort of scholarship was offered.

How's it going? I noticed that our profiles are quite similar ( veteran status, Japanese). I'm applying to Santa Clara and Hawaii as well. I wish us both the best of luck. I'll be taking the LSAT in December, but I'm working on my applications right now to try to get the ball rolling.

Hey, I was happy to see someone from Utah hear back from UofP. It looks like our stats are about the same. Think we have a shot at Utah? What's your number one choice? Given the choice, who would chose between santa clara and Pacific? Later.

Congratulations on two awesome acceptances in the same day :). Did the LC campus look as peaceful and gorgeous as their viewbook and website make it seem??

Hey, I'm hoping to get into L&C as well. I have heard from a number of schools so far but have more waitlists and deferrals than acceptances. I read your comments about their campus and it reinforced my decision to attend if I get in. That is if I don't get into Davis or Hastings. I will visit first of course but from what I've read it's a really nice place to live. So is it your first choice or are you looking for the best reputation as well? I will probably not be lucky enough to get into my reaches but if I get into Lewis and Clark I will choose them over money at other schools. Do you think going to their school is worth passing up money at UoP (McGeorge)?

Congrats on all your acceptance. What do you think of George Mason? I got in the part-time.
