Additional info & updates

The LSAT score is now my official score that I just got from LSAC today. I stand a fighting chance at getting into Wayne and will definitely get into either MSU or U of D. I think I'm going to pass on applying for Syracuse though.

3/3/06 - First admissions decision is here. I got in at MSU. The big problem is they want a deposit by April 1 to reserve my seat, but I might not have my other decisions by then. I'm caught between just paying their fee as a safety and waiting and letting this pass me by for the hope that Wayne accepts me. I'll think about it for the next few days. No mention of a scholarship or anything though.

3/10/06 - I never predicted this one. I got dinged by U of D, my safety school. Now it looks like I'll have to pay MSU their $200 seat fee until I get a letter from Wayne letting me know what their decision is. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET REJECTED FROM A TIER 4 SCHOOL THAT CAN'T EVEN BE CONSIDERED HALF DECENT WHEN YOU HAVE A 156 LSAT AND A 3.9 GPA???

4/7/06 - I called Wayne to ask them why I hadn't gotten my decision letter yet and she said she'd just give me the decision over the phone. I'm in for the full-time day program! Woo hoo! Wayne is my first choice, unless I get a generous $$$$ offer from Seattle, or a fairly decent $$$$ offer from Case.

4/9/06 - Sent withdrawal letter to MSU today. Given the cost difference, attending Wayne State is a no-brainer. If they had offered me a scholarship it may have been different, but that's not the case.

4/21/06 - Seattle mailed my decision on 4/17 according to their website. I should have the answer within a week. It doesn't much matter though, because I'm going to Wayne unless they offer me something really sweet (like 2/3 sweet) and the chances of that happening are nil.

4/27/06 - Got Seattle's decision today and it was a reject. Can't say I'm surprised at it, as it was not unexpected. That just makes me feel better about my decision to go to Wayne.

5/15/06 - Well, I got my final decision in the mail today. Case waitlisted me, which is actually better than the straight out rejection I thought I was going to get. In any case, my mind is made up and I'll be attending Wayne this Fall. This concludes another episode of "Law School Admissions Hell". Thanks for watching everyone.

7/1/06 - And I thought I was done with everything. Just got a letter in the mail today. I was given a 50% scholarship to Wayne, contingent upon me keeping a 3.25 GPA every year. This makes me even happier that I chose Wayne State.

After further consideration, I have bumped my theoretical LSAT score down to a 155. This is the best I feel I can hope for, for this test administration and still remain conservative in my estimate. I will update it with the real score when I receive it on the 27th or 28th.

hey, hey now. Don't knock a school because they didn't accept you. Some of us that did shitty on the LSAT got a chance at that "T4 not even half decent" law school. Congrats on Wayne.

UDM is a very nice school. Perhaps, you conveyed your immaturity in your PS.
