Additional info & updates

hofstra is looking more likely even though it's in a tough (understatement of the year) market. psu accepted but not at the campus i want and only for their PT program. doesn't sound appealing and it's only low T2 in an area I'm not willing to practice. waiting on philly and va schools though those are reaches to say the least. feels good to know i can go to law school next year at some decent choices though. my sister is willing to help with housing in nyc so that will definitely take a lot of burden off me if i go to hofstra.

-after mulling through my options, it looks like i'll sit on the waitlist for richmond but i'll send in my seat deposit for penn state because it's refundable and not that much compared to hofstra. my experience with fellow psu alums also has me leaning on their law school now. worse case (and i say that in a sense that i am very fortunate to be considering law school, so worse just means plan B) is that i'll be back at penn state. oh well, home sweet home.

-numbers are numbers. cycle is panning out pretty much by my lsat score and gpa. no real surprises. given that, it's not too crazy to assume the rest are and will be rejections. that leaves me with psu and WL at richmond. so packing those bags for a return to happy valley unless something changes. good luck everyone!

Lucky us, we're both riding the WL at Richmond. Hofstra sounds like a good possibility. Are you going to let it ride at UR?

dickinson was on the ropes before psu bailed them out financially. like it or not, the merger helped them monetary wise to say the least. though it was always a strong regional school, the name now carries a bit more with psu attached to it. they'll never have to worry about money again. you're talking to someone who graduated from UP but went to a smaller feeder campus as well. i've seen the buildings, i've met the profs and staff and more importantly i plan on going back to my home state to practice law with a family friend's firm. my regret would not be so much attending the wrong campus, but being grouped with alums like yourself.
