for the good luck, and good luck to you too! I haven't written a thesis, but I am very interested in late Wittgenstein, namely the Philosophical Investigations.

a big fan of Witty's arguments on language games as well. It's been some time since I've looked at any Cavell... I should really check him out again. Anyway, congrats on the clean sweep and hopefully I'll see you at some ASWs down the line! :-)

Thanks...

Which one are you going to choose?

What to choose!

If I get all rejections from here on out I'll go to Loyola. I have my heart kinda set on Northwestern, but that sure will be a long shot. I went to Loyola for undergrad, so I know the school and know I'll like it. I think you should choose U Penn=)

Thanks, and congrats on getting in everywhere you applied!! No, I'm probably going to pick Harvard, unless I get a big scholarship somewhere else. Stanford would be great, but I think I'd rather stay on the east coast. How about you?

Hey!

Thanks for the congrats! And congrats to you on your awesome sweep!

Wow.

I don't think that any of my acceptances in futuro (assuming I get more) will be as impressive as your sweep. You really nailed this cycle. It's an open secret that HLS is my coveted number one, but I could be happy at a few other places.

Congrats! Please Withdraw

Can you withdraw from Boalt please if you want to go to H?

Thanks!

Yale was a real shock. My numbers (which are higher than what I've listed) are definitely best aspects of my application, which doesn't explain Yale. I guess maybe something in my statements caught their eye. I think after a point, Yale really becomes a lottery and I just got lucky. Wish I could be more helpful! Congrats on all your acceptances. You're clearly going to have some tough choices to make.

Gracias!

I really have no idea what specifically caught their eye and led to an early admission. I had what might be viewed as a compelling personal statement which, combined with my numbers, might have been the reason. I really get the sense that you never really know with YLS. Why didn't you apply? You certainly stand a good chance. Congrats on the rest of your schools though - what a great application cycle!

Congrats!

Rooting for you

I agree - I hope you'll be there in April! Congrats on sweeping your cycle (at least what's public to the rest of us) and best of luck with YLS

thanks

thanks for the words of support -- i'm not so surprised, but seeing the actual letter (or email ha) is always a little hard. regardless, congrats on all your acceptances! maybe i'll see you at the penn or mich asw!
