Such a nice LSAT. You're going to one of the Chicago schools, bro. Best of luck.

ED Chicago man, you got it wrapped up :) (plus, you're a lock for NW RD)

Good luck with Chicago ED. I'm in a similar boat. Peace.

Chicago! It's a reach, but like moopness says, EDing to NW would be a waste.

I decided to jump on the ED Chi bandwagon. You got it Sabretooth.

Why not HYS??

- Curiousone
  • Hm.
  • Saturday, November 05 2011 at 10:49 AM

Might be worth it this year. Huge drops in test takers probably means they have to be a little more splitter friendly. But in any case, you'll do great. Good luck

Bummer about Duke. I'm sure it's just YP and you'll do great elsewhere. Good luck!

Non-URMs with a GPA below a 3.7 have no business applying to law school.

WTF is wrong with anon? I'm predicting ED Chi for you, tomorrow.

- whimsical
  • Tuesday, December 20 2011 at 06:49 PM

Homophobia and idiocy are very highly correlated. Safe to say you can dismiss anon. Anyway, GL on Chi. I think they'd be foolish not to accept you. Very likely they will before tomorrow.

Next week, bro. It's gonna happen. ♥

  • Thursday, December 22 2011 at 10:50 AM

Well, you're DEFINITELY getting the NU acceptance, just look at your #s compared to the recent auto-admit RD-ers. RE: Chicago, I'm 100% sure your call is coming. There's just NO WAY they're done with ED decisions already...we'd have seen wayyyy more TLS-ers getting in. Not to mention their LSN graph is looking pretty sparse as well. Also in the tweet they posted, they said "calls for THIS WEEK"...indicating that they're going to do more in different weeks. :D

Unbelievable... you must be losing your mind with all this uncertainty. Hope you get some acceptances pronto. Obviously things will work out in the end for you.

  • Saturday, January 21 2012 at 07:54 PM

LMAO. UPenn loves to YP. If you look at past cycles, you would have been a lock with an ED app. Although at the end of the cycle I think you will have much better options. ;P good luck

As lame as this sounds, I think of the cliche things my mom always says to make me feel better and surprisingly do: 1. Patience is a virtue 2. Time heals all 3. Good things come to those who wait I think this cycle will turn out much better than it seems right now! Best of luck!

  • Thanks
  • Monday, January 23 2012 at 10:06 PM

Thanks guys, the support really means a lot. It's really odd being in the position of not having any acceptances when a lot of people are done or close to done with their cycles. I have heard of several other people in a similar scenario. It seems like a pretty common theme this year for those with pretty high LSAT scores and below median, but not horrid, GPAs. I agree with those of you who tell me that a lot of my movement will probably happen near the end of the cycle, so as long as I continue to show interest in the schools I care about (which, I guess, is all the ones that I applied to), things will shake out eventually. At some point, schools are going to start having to worry about their medians (and 75th percentiles, for the ones that care about those, such as Columbia and NYU). Hopefully, at that point, they see me as someone who can bring that boost!!!!

  • Tense
  • Friday, February 10 2012 at 01:11 PM

This is quite possibly the most tense profile in all of LSN. Good luck to you brah! I think you should pick 2-3 of the wailtisted schools and really gun it with the LOCIs. One of them is definitely going to bite. If there's any type of person they take off the waitlist, it's YOU! Whenever you feel like this cycle isn't going well, remember: only about 50 people got a 177+ on test day! You're a special snowflake! Jk lol. Good luck!

This is the first time I have come across your LSN profile and I just wanted to let you know I totally feel your pain. I have not had any luck with the top 10 either. I know its not worth much, but I really hope things work out for you.

  • this is ridiculous
  • Wednesday, February 29 2012 at 12:57 PM

TBH the biggest shocker of your cycle is that NYU didn't bite. The rest of the T-14 are super unpredictable for someone with your numbers and WL's are likely to be plentiful, but NYU? Aside from CLS/NYU I was WL/ding everywhere except Cornell last cycle with v. similar numbers. That said, you will get off one of these waitlists. Especially if you let the schools know that you basically were WL across the board there will be one school willing to take the GPA hit for your 176...

Man, I don't know what the heck Columbia is up to this cycle, but I hope they give you some good news soon - just wanted to let you know I'm rooting for you and hope you start to see some serious movement as people withdraw this month.

Jam, you're a baller. Can't wait for all those schools to come crawling back begging for you to take them after you get off the WL. Of course, we all know in the end you'll come to NU, RIGHT? (:

Hey there! I'm so happy for you with NYU! Honestly, I'm quite jealous.. I withdrew off the WL because I knew if I got in I would go, or at least feel like I had to. I've been pulling for you this whole time! Congrats on your amazing success.
