Additional info & updates

This is my second application cycle (first was for Fall 2006). I initially applied during my senior year of college to disappointing results. I was accepted to Loyola Chicago with a decent scholarship, but I had my sights set on schools in the 30 - 40 band. Now, over a year removed, I'm hoping that my work experience makes my application standout amidst my GPA/LSAT.

Updates:

12/03: Returned from lunch to an acceptance email from Denver. They were my safety, and I've been in this position before. I'll be more excited if a scholarship offer is extended.

Got home from work to a denial letter from UIUC. I knew it was a long shot, but I still maintained some hope. Oh well. 5 more top 40 schools to go. Hopefully one will bite the bullet.

12/04: Additional email from DU with a $20,000/year scholarship offer.

12/05: Personal phone call from Loyola Chicago offering admissions.

01/11: Accepted to the University of Wisconsin. The letter came in a small envelope.

It's like we are the same person applying to different schools. You are my twin...besides the econ major. And I don't know my rank. What's your first choice school? Good luck to you too!

So was your DU scholarship contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 GPA? I am hoping you get in off the waitlist at CU because we have almost identical stats.

CONGRATS!

Unfortunately, I went to school in MN, but have lived in Chicago for the past several years. I am looking forward to instate tuition for years 2 and 3! When you get into Iowa, what's your 1st choice?
