I'm hoping to become a public interest lawyer. Some of the schools I'm applying to have good public interest programs.

1/11/08- Accepted to Syracuse..Excited, yet ambivalent..Syracuse is quite expensive..

1/12/08- Accepted to U of Baltimore..feels good to be wanted...

1/20/08--Accepted to Albany--I hope I get accepted to Cuny, U of Buffalo, and UC Hastings...Those are my top 3 schools...

1/26/08-Accepted to Gonzaga--excited that I received a scholarship...seems like a really good school that emphasizes public interest

2/16/08--haven't updated for a while..rejected from Hastings, waitlisted at Buffalo, accepted at Pacific

5/25/08--I'll be going to CUNY...Whoever will attend CUNY and is interested in starting a study group, please let me know..Thanks.

Hey again. Just wondering if you had a choice what your first choice school would be. Thanks!

well I think the big thing for me with the second test is I was WAY more mellow. I knew that with my score (just like yours) I would be able to get in somewhere. So I was more relaxed in taking it a second time. Also I actually backed off studying. The first time around I started studying in June and was going like 2 hours a day. I also took a Kaplan class leading up to the first LSAT. On the second one I was only studying every other day and taking a prep test every Saturday morning. Backing off the amount of studying really helped because I wasn't so freaked out about that stupid test. Good luck.

Congratulations on Gongaza!! You "inspired" me - your numbers are just slightly above mine. Maybe I'll see you there in the fall if I get in. :)

Yes CUNY did send me a complete letter. BUt to be honest I think their admissions is a bit unorganized. Every time I called to check status they were rude and acted like I shouldn't have called. Congrats on CUse, zaga, and Balt. What's your first choice? I've heard zaga is beautiful.

I actually never got a "complete" email.. I even emailed to ask if I was complete and they said that they couldn't release any info over email and I'd have to call.. weird. but anyway, I'm VERY excited to get in. best of luck to you, and congrats on all of your acceptances!

Hi! Congrats on your acceptances thus far! CUNY notified me through mail. I called regarding potential scholarships, and they said that those would come separately.

Thanks! Congrats on CUNY too. Looks like you've got some nice other options to consider too. I like CUNY's public interest focus too--just not sure about the location. It's not directly in NYC, by the way. It's out in Flushing which is a hike to the city. I'm certainly considering it though and the staff I met from the school at one of the forums was super nice! Seems like a very cooperative, close knit school.
