Pace - Wait List
I knew it would be one of two things, either a rejection or a wait list letter. It just did not scream out, "hey there congratulations." Long story short, it's a wait list. It also is not a rejection. However, as this cycle draws to a close... I cannot say that I am very pleased. Yes there have been a couple of acceptances, scholarships, and even a few wait list offers, but I was far more optimistic. I pray that the last letter brings more certain and positive news.

Saint John's - Rejection
Another sad day. Saint John's was my last true hope for top 100, apart from the Seton Hall wait list. Seems like no one wants me. I knew what it was before I opened it. The regular size of the envelope gave it away when my father handed it to me. What a damn bummer. I am still ticked about the New York Law School rejection. Who saw that coming?
02-29-08 ---------------------------------------
Florida Coastal - Acceptance
Seton Hall - Wait List
Rutgers - Rejection
Cardozo - Rejection
New York Law - Rejection
Sure feels nice to have a second straight day of acceptances; the $12,000 is also welcomed. Thank you Florida Coastal for the vote of confidence! Rejections from Cardozo, Rutgers, New York Law - very upset about these. Seton Hall offered me a position on wait list thankfully. I appreciate their continued consideration.
02-28-08 ---------------------------------------
Brooklyn - Rejection & Touro - Acceptance
I was accepted to Touro with a $12,000 scholarship. This first acceptance is surely bitter sweet. It feels great to have been accepted to law school, but my celebratory mood is stunted by another top choice that has abandoned me - Brooklyn Law. As I've said, the rejection from Brooklyn was expected... but that doesn't make it any easier. Thank you Touro for the vote of confidence!
02-15-08 ---------------------------------------
Fordham University - Rejection
Denied via status checker. This is a very sad day indeed. This was expected, but that does not make it easier.
02-01-08 ---------------------------------------
Hofstra Law School - Wait List
Truly a bummer. I was hoping to start off this cycle on a strong note, but the opposite seems to be the case. It came in a regular sized white envelope, but it felt quite hefty. I was given an opportunity to place myself on the wait list. Of course I took the offer, because the future seems mighty murky from here on out.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This cycle is surely not going the way I have expected. Obviously I may have been overly optimistic, but I did not foresee it becoming this bad. It has been a disheartening experience with the application process in general. From the very start my LSAT score put a damper on my ambitions. I don't feel it was a true indicator of my potential... but such is life.
I wish all the best to every applicant this cycle! This is undoubtedly a tense and trying period in our lives. May we all prevail.

Good Luck! Thursday, December 27th, 2007 at 9:47 am
Sorry the LSAT didn't work out for you. I was also very disheartened by my first score, which I knew was not representative of my academic stamina, or even of the best I could do on that darned test. Are you retaking in February?
Best of luck this cycle...

Good luck buddy Friday, January 4th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Keep me in the know bro. We, the Panthers, must stick together :)
Albany Law School Friday, February 1st, 2008 at 4:34 pm
You are correct: the LSAT is DEFINITELY NOT an indicator of potential. Have you considered Albany Law School? I think you would have a great shot (info session in March). Hofstra has a brand new dean and may not be the best choice right now-- but you could ask to be considered for part time there (day and/or evening).

Yeah. I just hope that the new dean explanation can keep me from going insane. I pray that this hofstra result is not a substantial indicator for this cycle.
Hey guy Saturday, March 1st, 2008 at 5:08 am
I was looking at some of your scores and was surprised u got rejected from New York Law. Did you have any other factors at all? How was your personal statement?
I no longer feel as good after reading your explanations and applications that are pending or rejected or accepted. Some of my index numbers are lower than yours for different schools, grr..
Are you from Jersey or NY?

Is it because of your location?? Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 at 10:59 pm
Lame. Where ya from?
I read it wrong Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 at 11:00 pm
That is weird. I've seen a lot of lower numbers get into NYLS. I hope I still have a chance.
NYLS Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Their rejection is quite surprising to me... Stay hard on those waitlists, write the LOCIs and get one more directed letter of recommendation sent. That's what I'm doing for my WLs.
Damn man Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
This was def a surprise. I hope Seton Hall comes to your rescue. I will holla at you on aim.

NYLS Rejected me too Monday, March 24th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
lol, We are pretty much in the same boat on numbers, so I figured I'd post to ya again. I got dinged at New York Law, waitlisted at Hofstra. So we are in the same boat there. I got accepted to two schools so far, I'm hoping to get accepted to Suffolk, because I'd go there in a heart beat.
Are you attending Hofstra Law Friday, June 13th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
Hey, Congrads on getting into Hofstra Law!!
I am on the waitlist and scored a 155 on my LSAT. Did they contact you via Phone today to inform you of your acceptance?

I got accepted for a part-time night program. I do not need any hand outs. I'm probably going to stick with Touro, along with my handsome scholarship. I received no phone call.
Congrads Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
on Pace!!! I've been watching your cycle and feel you got shafted by some of the schools (especially New York Law and Qunnipiac). Will you be attending Pace?
