Thanks for your support. Its been a tough year for most applicants, regardless of what credentials they've got. Its a pure numbers game. If you've got the LSAT and then the GPA, you're good to go. If you don't have the numbers, most schools (despite what they say) won't even look at your extracurricular activities. This is my second year of trying to get in to law school. Last year I didn't get in to one.

Eng 2nd language?!!

LSAT = bane of my life. I cannot believe that you got a 157 with English being your second language - I only did 1 point better and it's my first!! That's impressive & I'm sure the schools will take that into account. The best of luck to you - all the waiting is killing me and I'm sure the same goes for you!!

Thanks

for your kind words. I appreciate it. The more recent responses have been hard. Good luck to you as well, I will watch to see where you end up.

Yeah I think the job market played into as well. A few schools sent me letters saying their application number went up something insane like 25%. I think a lot of little things came together and it just wasn't my year.

Thanks 777, I know if I get into just one of these schools, it will be enough.... No harm in trying for the dream schools.... i wont get in unless I apply.... Good luck to you too!

Netlenov is not exactly my last name. You have covered both of the coasts and the midwest with your apps. Nice work. Best of luck with the rest of the apps and in whichever part of the country you decide to choose.

Living in Detroit?

So if you do end up going to Wayne State (congrats on the scholarship offer, btw), where do you think you'll live? I like the school, but I feel like there are no good options as far as where to live. Ann Arbor and Royal Oak both seem like too far of a commute, but living in Detroit seems scary. Any ideas?

Too risky?

Thanks for leaving a msg. I chose to apply to tough schools--if I get in to one, I'm destined to go to law school, if not I'll stay in my (awesome) job. Plus, I'm too cheap to apply to a school I wouldn't definitely attend. Congrats on Wayne State, good luck with the other apps.

Congrats

I must say that with close to a full scholarship, I would jump on the Wayne bandwagon. The school is very nice (I visited two schools, Wayne and McGeorge, and Wayne's facilities were far superior). Also, has a fantastic, state of the art gym (with a climbing wall!!), a very nice law library and pretty decent living options. I toured the campus the other day and (despite the weather) I have to say it was pretty nice. Also, despite what some would have you believe about Detroit, quite safe. You just have to be careful about wandering too far down the Cass corridor. Congrats and best of luck to you.
