Thanks for the advice and tip on Ivey's book. I had not even considered a couple of those points, yet they seem intuitive. Good luck!
I appreciate the tips. Turns out you're the closest thing I've got to a pre-law advisor.
i'm a 1L there now. you can do better! Would be glad to chat.
All of these schools. None of these are a reach really, with a 167 LSAT.
Dropped by to check in, and wanted to say congrats re: Depaul. That's great news (for me, too). Still nothing from WUSTL, despite the EA, huh? you should hear soon...
Haha. Yes, I will be camping outside of the registrar's office on Friday morning. I was told by the staff that it is much faster to get transcripts by walk-in than by pre-order, so that's what I'll do. Looks like I pulled off 4 A+'s this semester, to give me a 4.2 LSAC GPA. The discouraging thing, though, is that this will only pull my Cum GPA up to about 2.72. Bittersweet. It's hard to fathom some of my top choices letting me in with numbers like this... My wife and I are planning to try to head to WUSTL for the open house they have been bombarding me about. Unless I'm rejected before then, I expect to pay them a visit the first week of Jan. I am hopeful that we will really like it...
I'm trying to get to KC. You should apply there and transfer your admission offer to me. Thanks in advance.
I have a friend from college who goes to SLU law and doing health-related stuff. If you'd like, I could put in contact with him.
Finally found someone with numbers close to mine :) Started college at 16, too, worked through undergrad, got hit by a car junior year, hence lousy GPA and trend to go with it. My undergrad was Valpo, I can't believe they waitlisted you! DePaul is looking promising, good luck on the rest of your applications, too!
Congratulations on WUSTL! I didnt get the email today....don't know if their is any hope of more decisions tomarrow.....you haev some nice options! Good job
Ditto! I feel sort of bad b/c it seems I got my decision before some EA folks did. Very excited, though. And very ambivalent. Having alot of great options is both a blessing and a curse. You've got a nice set of options, yourself. The $$$ must make things interesting for you...
congrats the success thus far this cycle you seem to have done well. I have a quick question about your comment on stsherri's "visitor comments"...you quoted a book in regards to the admissions process of law schools...the post was entitled "two cents"...my question is, have you found the book you mentioned to mirror your app. experience thus far? why or why not...is there any words of wisdom that would be useful?
Thank you so much for the advice on the book. I am going to order it online. I have one more question for you and i promise i will stop being annoying....what prep did you do for the LSAT and how did you go about studying?

I've searched this forum hi and lo for someone whose numbers paralleled my own reasonably closely, and you're as close as I've come. We are somewhat unique, I'm finding. I too was a burn out and flunkee early in my career, but took about nine years off and am trying to make a strong comeback. May I ask: how did your W&M fee waiver come. I am envious of it--W&M is among my one or two choices. It would be nice to get just one fee waiver at a place I where I actually was going to apply anyway... It looks like you want to stay pretty close to home? We've got a couple of schools in common, so I'm curious to see happens with your admissions. Good luck and best wishes,
