Nothing from UCLA. They waive my application fee tho, so it was worth a shot. Why not apply more places or is it real important you say in SoCal? I'm sure you're in at loyola tho, I have a friend there, I think she likes it a ton.
I wonder what UCLA is waiting for? One can hope... I hope to hear from Loyola soon, I think I'd really do well there. They have a good-sized Patent and Enviro program. I'm married and my wife is doing her surgical residency here in LA. I would have loved to apply elsewhere (I was probably destined for a place like UW or Wash U or BU), but I am the "trailing spouse" in my situation. C'est la vie!
What can you do about it? I'm still waiting to get rejected from places. I want northwestern just say yes or no. I have days when I really want to stay in chicago and days when I can't wait to get out. I don't know which is more accurate.
looks like we're both waitlisted. I hope you get in eventually! i'm not sure if I'm going to stay waitlisted there b/c of GWU being so good for me :S
It was a little bit of both. It just so happens that the Dean saw my withdrawal letter on the very same day as I was admitted behind closed doors. So he sent me back an, "are you sure?" email and informed me I had also been granted a scholarship. If I hadnt gotten into Chicago, I'd snatch that deal up in a heartbeat, but Chicago is too killer to say no to.

Congrats on UCLA buddy! Don't know if you recognized my profile but we actually met at the Loyola students day. Tall guy from Florida...? In any case, having gotten turned down from the waitlist at Notre Dame I will be at Loyola this fall. Sad to lose a potential study mate but best of luck in Westwood (who knows with any luck I could be a transfer candidate).
i enrolled in that, but when my gf went to LA to find places they were all dumpy... however, she did find a place along a bus line that was ok... did you get a place in westwood?
