Additional info & updates

Completely ridiculous!

I obviously want a Chicago option, I currently live in Chicago and I have a lot of good things here besides law school that are really important to me.

Other than that, want to look at good schools! It's going to take a great offer to pull me out of this city!

12-7-06: Letter from John Marshall arrived at parents house. I have yet to see it, but it sounds like a great offer from a not so great school

12-9-06: Small letter from Georgetown, got deferred.. go figure

12-12-06: Got a big packet from DuPaul. They called me and talked to me a few days later

01-10-07: Got a phone call from GWU! Am very happy about it!

01-16-07: Got a small letter from NYU and a big packet from Kent. NYU is NYU and they can reject who they want to reject. It always feels good to get in somewhere decent and have them offer you $$ about Kent

01-24-07: I figured I'd put up my MASTERS GPA in the Degree GPA and leave my UNDERGRAD GPA in the LSDASGPA column. It hopefully will show people how I improved from undergrad to grad school

I think it would be safe to say you've mastered the LSAT :) Congratulations on a great score! My instructor obviously knew her stuff, but it was evident that she had no teaching experience and wasn't sure how to go about the "teaching" part. I heard a lot of other sections were like this, too. The instructors could easily answer a question if asked, but had trouble with the overall "teaching" part of the course. Maybe someone with teaching experience, such as yourself, would drastically improve the quality of the course and justify its very high cost. Anyhow, a big congratulations on your acceptances thus far--it looks like you've got some great options!

I was hired at PR a few months ago, but i never ended up being a Tutor because the training was on the weekends and i didnt want to miss any gator games. All i had to do was dress nice and give a 5 minute little speech, it wasnt very hard. I'm excited about GW but right now i think GU is where ill end up. Still waitin to hear bout scholarships though, so you never know. I have no idea what type of law i want to do yet.

Good luck with Columbia. My status checker went to decision for Georgetown last week, so I'll know if I'm going to GW or not later this week.

Thanks for responding. I hope to hear from Loyola soon, I think I'd really do well there. They have a good-sized Patent and Enviro program. I'm married and my wife is doing her surgical residency here in LA. I am the "trailing spouse" in my situation. C'est la vie! - ChemE

So far so good...

Yeah, I saw that you got waitlisted the other day...good news! I certainly understand about GW being such a good fit...and it is much harder to stay on waitlists when planning to move from Chicago to one of the coasts. Since I live in LA (and I love UCLA), I'm going to sit on the waitlist as long as possible. Until classes begin, really.

congrats on NU

Congrats on NU!! They've definitely been splitter friendly this year! You mentioned facebook -- you should join our group: Northwestern Law Class of 2010. About a quarter of the incoming class is on there.
