Finished my FAFSA and received my financial aid package info from ASL. All loans :( But at least I know I can get through law school.

Received a small letter in the mail yesterday from Louisville. It was a rejection.

The past week I also received two letters from MCSOL. One from the Dean with a nice handwritten note. Another from the Admission Office noting seat deposit information. Also, received a post card inviting me to Jackson on January 29th.

Found out I was denied at NYLS but accepted at Mississippi College!

So much for Election Day here in Virginia.

I received a rejection letter from U of Baltimore on 11/4/09.

Also, I received a link for the status checker for William and Mary. All it says is decision is pending as of 10/21/09. That doesn't make much sense to me.

Today is Election Day in Virginia. Here's to a big Democratic victory!

I have submitted all 17 applications I wanted to submit.

Now the waiting game really goes into full force. Although, I have been accepted to Appalachian, I am still anxious to see what other schools offer me admission.

I received a letter in the mail the other day from Brooklyn to tell me they were missing a Dean's Certification Form. I faxed a copy to the Registrar's Office to be filled out so hopefully that will be completed soon.

I hope if schools are missing any information from me they will contact me promptly so I can handle it.

I called all the remaining 14 schools to which I have applied to check the status of my application.

It was interesting to see how the admissions office received the phone call.

For the past several days, I have received email notifications about application status for the schools listed above. Most contained a user name and password for a online status checker site.

Today, I paid a visit to the Appalachian School of Law as a guest of a visiting attorney. To make a very long story short, I was notified in person that I was accepted to the school.

Received an e-mail from American with a link for the online status checker.

I was able to spend yesterday afternoon sending out about half of my applications. I hope to work on the rest throughout the next week or so. I plan to have all applications submitted by the first of November.

I have finished the first draft of my personal statement. My next step will be to edit it for content and grammar.

I have also started applications on the LSAC website. I will be adding an extra addendum to my application to explain why I miss a semester of undergrad.

So I feel as if I have a list of things to do:
-finish personal statement
-finalize resume
-review applications
-complete addendum

The application process has not gone as planned. I hope to have all applications submitted by Halloween. Also, I am finding it hard to decide where exactly I should send applications. Anyone else having the same reservations?

On a positive note, I was awarded a fee waiver through LSAC!

I have my transcripts uploaded to the LSAC website as well as three letters of recommendation. I plan to submit two more letters of recommendation. I am going to use this month to polish my resume and work on my personal statement.
