Additional info & updates

NOTE:
I've updated my profile to help those in a similar situation. Through all of the stress about the LSAT and applying with a low GPA, you CAN get in.

2/1/12- Offered Special Summer Program from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.- I must say, I was quite happy until I realized I had to attend in person as opposed to online. Needless to say, NOT attending.

2/12/12- Offered AAMPLE from Appalachian School of Law. No thanks, I don't want to live in the mountains! haha

2/13/12- ACCEPTED TO MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE!- It's not an ideal location, however, I'm willing to move! :) I'm extremely blessed!

2/14/12- I'm hoping for NYLS, University of Dayton or Valpo Law! Keeping my fingers crossed. It feels good to have an acceptance early in the cycle. Afterall, I can always consider transferring after I conquer my first year. :)

2/14/12- ACCEPTED TO THE CHARLOTTE SCHOOL OF LAW! Wow, I'm glad I checked my status checkers twice today. (Although it feels rather obsessive..) I would love to live in NC, and what a beautiful area! I'm feeling so blessed, I have two schools to choose from when I thought I would have ZERO. God is great! I'll update as I receive more information.

2/15/12- Applying to a couple more schools today. Also starting to panic because I'm realizing how fast August will be here! Chances are, I'll have to move my life 10 hours away from everyone I know! Crazy.

2/17/12- Accepted to Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, FL!

2/24/12- Accepted to Barry Law! Also offered $7,000.00/yr!! Still leaning toward Charlotte! But I'm still undecided at this point!! :)

2/27/12- Accepted to 4 schools so far. Such a blessing. Again, these updates are for those that didn't study during their undergraduate years and those who either freaked out during the LSAT/aren't good standardized test takers/ and those who just didn't study. lol There is hope. haha.. ;)

6/12/12- I'm bored at work and decided to update my profile! lol. Anyway, I've decided to attend the Charlotte School of Law. I've already visited the school and general area and secured an apartment. I'm very excited and blessed to be starting in the fall. Charlotte is a booming area for young college graduates and I'm excited to start a new chapter of my life. I'm very content with my choice. I was thinking about transferring after my first year but I've almost completely ruled that idea out unless I absolutely have to for personal reasons. Again, cheers to those that don't think they can get in anywhere! A polished resume' and a great personal statement can really take you a long way. God Bless.

Thanks for the comment. Your biggest thing is the LSAT. You MUST score over 155! Only 3% of minorities score above that number. So breaking it would put you with an amazing group of applicants. I may not get into harvard, but I've already made it into a top 50 school. So dont even trip about the GPA. Just go hard on the lsat. Also..Pick some better schools. You are neglecting alot of better quality public owned schools.

Hey! I know you'll be fine on the LSAT test! Have you gotten the LSAT Bibles? That Logical Reasoning Bible was a God send! I think if I could've taken it again, I would've scored in the higher 160s. *Shrug* At any rate, you'll be great, relaxed, and kick butt! Once your acceptances come rolling in, you'll be more confident about the situation! Just focus on calming your nerves. Nerves can be your undoing...I know...it happened to me the 1st & 2nd time I took the test! Good luck!

Congrats with the offers you've gotten so far. How were you offered the summer programs- "Rejection, but..", "Waitlist, but.." or "Admit, but.."? Good luck.

Congrats!!
