So, is NCCU already full? Your the second person I've seen get waitlisted that I would have expected to see be accepted.

Has your status at FSU changed to Under Review or Decision mailed yet?

No. I think FL Coastal is where I'm going to end up. My fiance and I will be married by the time I start law school and we're trying to find a place where we can both go to school. He got into FSU for PhD but not UNC-Charlotte. Of course, my scores are too low for FSU. So, it looks like I will be commuting to FL Coastal from a halfway point between FL Coastal & FSU. I have heard good things about Barry and would consider it more if it weren't for my other half. They also seem to be a little more generous with the scholarship money than other schools. However, they have a lower bar passage rate and a high attrition /academic flunk out rate (much steeper grading curve than T-1 & T-2). FL Coastal has the higher attrition too, but coupled with a high bar passage rate. The bar passage rate is one of the things that has mattered to me when I look at the schools. The other thing is that FL Coastal won me over pretty early with the fact that they have an Environmental Law program, which is my planned focus. I think either one would be a good choice. With your score and gpa, academic attrition won't be a problem for you at either one. I also like that they are both newer programs, and I have heard good things about both of them. Anyway, I'll stop rambling on. It looks like you've already made your decision on a program and Barry looks like a good choice. Good luck with 1-L. =)

good luck with FIU

Thanks, I hope you get the school you want too!!! Someone wrote to me that if FIU does not get seat deposits in by next friday they will pull those seats. I guess that is what the rolling admission is. I sent mine in kind of late like you did and i hope that that is true that they give people x amount of time to put seat deposits in. I also hope people withdraw if they know they will not go there. Especially part time because that is so limited. I am on the edge of my seat waiting as i know so is everyone. i did not expect this process to be so brutal!!! but best of luck to you!!

If you are on the fence, choose BARRY!

Yesterday, I attended Acceptance Day at Barry School of Law. It would take me two hours to describe in appropriate detail the incredible experience the entire day was. I sat through a Mock Law Class, a law student panel Question and Answer session and took a tour of the small, but close-knit campus. The students and faculty are amazing. The atmosphere is one of caring and concern, not necessarily competitiveness like at other schools. When I visited FL Coastal, I was told that professors would say "Look to your right and left, these students probably will not be here next year," and various versions of that. At Barry, upperclassmen WANT to help you succeed and the administration wants you to stay. I paid my seat deposit and feel more confident about my decision to attend Barry more than any decision I've ever made in my life. I took a lot of notes at the question and answer session, so if you want to ask me anything specific about the school, I might be able to help you. Hope to see you at Barry in the Fall!

Hey Congratulations on your acceptances. Just wondering, did you receive any information from Barry prior to your admissions decision? Like anything saying your application was complete or anything?

Thanks

Thanks so much for the info! I'm going to wait a few more days to see if I hear anything before I contact Admissions. I'm kinda hoping to get this one though, so keep your fingers crossed :)

I actually got an email yesterday saying I should have a decision in the next 3-4 weeks. I'm definitely hoping its sooner rather than later. I'll keep you posted tho.

Hi! I went and toured Barry Law this week and agree it seems like a great environment- basic facilities, but definitely all that you need and great support. Im applying for fall 2010, I'd love to hear more about what you have to say about the school... comment or message if you have a change.
