Hello friends!

I received my first admissions decision on Saturday! Accepted at Duke!! I applied and was invited to register for Priority Track, which promises a 10 day turn around on their decision. It was an exciting way to begin the cycle. :)

Received my second admissions decision via phone call. My status checker actually changed to "Admission granted" before the weekend but I hadn't checked it. YEE-HAW!! My parents are happy about UT because it is super close to home. I am happy about it because Austin is a great city. I have heard mixed reviews from Texas lawyers about UT grads, though. I don't know if it is jealously from their Baylor/Tech/UH/SMU counterparts, but many say UT grads are as not ready to use their degree practically as grads from the other schools in TX. I dunno. I am not really too worried about that because UT is awesome. Austin is awesome. And Texas is awesome.....

Received schollie offer from UT via phone call. Full tuition all 3 years! Pretty good chance I'll be in Austin this time next year!! Yaaaaay!!

In at Georgetown! Pretty little letter in the mail with a handwritten note. **happy dance**

I want a kb1....:(

As you can see, I went a month without any acceptances (from Georgetown to Berkeley) and I was going insane. Now I have received two t10 acceptances in one weekend. It is awesome. This wait can make a person neurotic, but they will come in due time. Try to relax a little.

Got into Stanford today. I am in complete elation and SHOCK!! Yay!!!

Jan. 9-held at HLS. Disappointed, but better than a rejection ...I guess.

Jan. 13-invited to be on the waitlist at Penn. I responsed to the invitation email with a withdrawal of my application from consideration.

In at Columbia and Chicago. Yaaaaaaaaaaay! I just visited both schools in early January. Chicago's facility is fantastic. Columbia is in a great part of NYC. Their library is pretty disappointing compared to peer schools. But what kind of nerd picks a school based on how snazzy the library is? Am I right? haha. Kidding. You really can't go wrong with either school. I am so honored.

RTK and IiLJ Finalist at NYU. I plan on withdrawing prior to withdraw prior to my interview though...just realizing that living in NYC is a definite no-go for me!!

My cycle is almost over...just waiting to hear back from HLS. At this point I'm only seriously considering SLS v. UT v. HLS.

Congrats and continued good luck to you as well. I went to Alabama a few weeks ago, and it was my first time in the actual south. I can see why it is significantly different from DC.

Congrats!

on Stanford!!! You're having an amazing cycle. I got the same $ at UT - only thing that would tempt me to turn that down would be a YHS acceptance, or maybe T-10 with $. Any idea where you'll end up?

I'm late to say, but congrats on Stanford!!!!

congrats!

congrats on stanford...that's a hell of a school...and don't worry about HLS...HLS is very numbers based while SLS is more based on soft facts..this shows you are much more than your numbers which you should be proud of!

Congrats!

Way to go on all the acceptances, especially Columbia and Chicago! I did a grad degree at Chicago and highly recommend the school overall. I know they have a great law faculty. The city is great to live in, too. I'm looking forward to the rest of the decisions in your cycle!

...never responded. UChicago is shaping up to be my #1. Still haven't heard from the top 4, although I may end up in Chicago regardless.

also, the fact that you were held at Harvard makes me feel better about my hold, haha

I think HLS is waiting to see how their applicant pool shapes up and in the meantime has placed a ton of people on hold. With the drop in applications and test takers they (along with many other schools) are treading carefully. Also heard rumors that they want a class with a little more work experience. I am taking a hold as an enthusiastic "not yet". :D :D :D I wish you continued success on your cycle!!!!!

congrats

go to stanford...unless you somehow get a lot of money from CHicago or NYU...or get into harvard..you should go to stanford even if you got full scholly to Texas....stanford at sticker is worth more than not paying for texas
