Thanks for the congratulations! Don't be afraid to try, the worst that could happen is they say no! I have a solid all around package, and will bring diversity to the school and I'm sure you would too. So as long as your LSAT won't bring them down (which a 159 that we have certainly won't) schools are really eager and willing to accept us. Goodluck with the rest of your cycle as well, and congratulations on your acceptances thus far!
You are going to have an awesome cycle. I am going to be laughing at you when it is time for you to make a choice. :)
CONGRATS on UCLA!!! Very inspiring and I'm very excited to see the rest of your cycle play out :)
Congratulations on your acceptances so far. I am impressed that they came so quickly. My numbers are a bit lower than yours, but you are giving me some hope! Good luck with the rest of your cycle!
Thanks for all the congratulations guys! God willing, the acceptances will keep rolling in along with some good money!
Not only do you have similar stats as me but you're definitely going with the shotgun approach to applications as well haha. Congrats so far and hopefully the rest of this cycle will exceed your expectations.
If you don't mind me asking, how did you find out about UGA? Was it online or did they send you a letter?
I'm dumb just read that you saw it online lol! CONGRATS,I would freak out if I got into uga as I was born and raised in Georgia!
I'm hoping that this cycle does exceed my expectations also! Hopefully there will be some nice surprises in the form of acceptances and financial aid packages! Definitely took the shotgun approach, especially since I had the LSAC fee waiver.
Cheesy is good! I like to see people trying to inspire/encourage others instead of beating them down like SEVERAL people that troll this website try and do! Congrats on your acceptances thus far. I know more is to come for you! P.s. It ain't easy being cheesy! (Ok. So I'm the cheesy one now for quoting a cheeto's commercial. Lol.)
*ARE not is. Opps.
Congrats on your cycle so far. Let me know if you have any questions about UGA's Law School. Good luck the rest of the way
I appreciate the support man. It's good for some of us to make sure we provide hope to combat tall the negative energy people put out. Congratulations on your acceptances thus far, you will have a great cycle. I am interested to see where you decide.
congrats on your acceptances so far. good luck with t14. god bless.
I'm glad to see you're having an amazing cycle! I pray things continue to go your way. :)
Congrats on Berkeley!!! :) Your cycles awesome so far! praying it only gets better from here!! :)
Congrats on Berkeley and Michigan!! Looks like you're having an excellent cycle! Well done and good luck with the rest of your decisions!
What did you discuss in your personal statement to give you edge? How did you get into schools that won't even accept students in the low 160s with a 159?
Law schools aren't lying when they say that they have a holistic approach. With a strong academic record, strong personal statement, evidence of how you can bring diversity to the classroom through a strong diversity statement, stellar letters of recommendation, a track record making an impact on campus and within the community, and a timely application, schools will sometimes look past the LSAT. And you have to remember these schools do take people without 170s. Yale's lowest was 157, Chicago's was 154, Stanford's was 157 two years ago. Berkeley has students in the 140's in their incoming class. I'm sure the same goes for other top schools (most likely not to the extent of Berkeley, but you get my point), but I don't know their ranges off the top of my ahead. If you have a well put together applications, schools will notice. Hope this helps.
Hey! Were there any stipulations with your scholarship from UGA?
Good work on all the acceptances so far man. You're killin it so far. Best of luck to you for the rest of the cycle!
So encouraging! Love seeing all your good news!
you are on a tear my man way to go!
Lots of envy and respect for all the great acceptances you've earned so far. Hope there are many more shortly! I just finished up some grad work at Chicago and I can highly recommend the school overall. I wish their law school was an option for me. Again, congrats!
Thanks, I truly appreciate the congratulations! I am truly blessed.
You have had an amazing cycle! Congrats on all the amazing schools you get to choose from!
Congrats on the successful cycle so far! I took the LSAT in February for the first time and it didn't feel like it was a 165+ performance on my part so i'm taking inspiration from your success. If you have the time, please shoot me an email with some more info on the type of networking/events you recommended on this page and the approach you took in writing your personal statement.
I can't wait until Easter so I can see what developments there have been with your cycle!
I scoured websites like this one and TopLawSchools looking at other URM's and seeing how there cycles went. You got into Duke, you can learn the difference between there and their. Thanks.
On Harvard!!! I bet you feel like a million bucks right now:o)
WOW! Congrats on UCLA. We have similiar stats, I was going to apply there but was afraid I wouldn't get in! I'm definitely considering applying now! Good luck on the rest of your cycle!! :)
