Additional info & updates

Right now this waiting is the worst

12/21- Applied at Emory. Definitely a reach, but worth trying!

12/22- Catholic Status Checker changed, however, no e-mail. I don't think that's a good sign.

1/6- Finally snail mail rejected from Catholic. Not surprised and not hurt. Congratulations, you are 1 for 1 anon!!

1/6- Just checked my e-mail. Got waitlisted at W&L. Geez that was fast, I just sent in the app!! And it's not an all out rejection. myeh.

1/10- UF reviewed and put in back in the pile w/no decision. More waiting

2/2- Alabama CALLED today, and I'm in...they said packet in the mail. Doubt any schollys, but psyched to be in.

3/8- Dinged at Emory- no surprise there. The suspension is not killing me like it used to.

3/21- Waitlisted at Maryland via snail mail. Let's see how many more WL's come through in the coming weeks..

3/26- Dinged at UF via snail mail. That one is kind of like ugh, but I think I have made the decision to not attend law school. I will still post decisions as they roll in, good luck to all!

4/4- San Diego waitlist via e-mail. Surprise, surprise...

5/31- I am withdrawing all of my waitlists! I have been accepted to the school of my dreams, and will be attending come Fall. Good luck to everyone!

Thanks bitter person! Also, I'd be more than happy to update all my rejections as they roll in, in hopes it will make you feel better about your anon comments. After I get rejected, I will figure it was meant to be instead of sulking through another cycle rather than shooting other people down and telling them to be more "realistic".

Oh my goodness, thank you! I realize that maybe I have a sliver of a chance! I don't understand people who hide behind anon posts, this is an educational tool for other applicants, and I think it is great.

temple acknowledgment?
Monday, December 06 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hi, good luck! We both sent our Temple apps on 12-30-10. Have you received any emails/notifications from them? They are the only school that has not sent me an acknowledgment of receipt of app email! Thanks!

Yeah, it might be. In looking at other folks' profiles, it looks like they received an acknowledgment shortly after submitting. Maybe the school is backed up after the holiday break? Maybe I'll wait until Monday or Tuesday...

when you open up your online status checker for Umaryland, does it give you a box in the lower left saying if you paid your first seat deposit and your second seat deposit?

Monday, November 01 2010 at 08:00 PM

not always the case, umaryland does not email at all. rejection or acceptance

Finally!

Softs
Wednesday, June 23 2010 at 08:00 PM

Hi, We have similar numbers and was wondering what sort of softs do you have working for you. Congrats on the WL for W&L! Hope we both get into the school of our choice! Shannon

Alabama!

I guess it's easy for anonymous internet d-bags to criticize others' dreams...screw them, UA is an awesome school with a decent price and you got in!

Yep
Tuesday, December 28 2010 at 07:00 PM

Thank you! I am very pleased about the acceptance, and I have not been pessimistic during this whole application process, which I think helps so much. Anon trolls don't do much for me these days

URM
Sunday, October 24 2010 at 08:00 PM

Do you mind stating whether you are a URM or not. If not, can you explain what kind of soft factors you have? I am happy for you that you got into Alabama. Definitely a top player in the south. Congrats and God Bless.

Anon "did this last year." and apparently it did not go well for him/her so he/she is still upset... Lol but goodluck and congrats on AU!

Wondering

About the UA acceptance. What else do you have going for you (softs, URM etc.) to get an acceptance from Alabama? I would like to say congratulations on the aforementioned acceptance, but I find it a reach for me, and I have great softs and better numbers (sorry for being blunt, but I would really like to get in to UA so Im being realistic).

Alabama!

I gotta admit, I was skeptical about your school choices too (but I would never put myself in the same group as correctly identified anonymous "d-bag"). Awesome acceptance at Alambama!!! Good for you :)

Tuesday, December 28 2010 at 07:00 PM

Lol, that was an awful paragraph. Best of luck at UA- hopefully reality is not too painful

Why be anonymous???
Saturday, September 15 2007 at 08:00 PM

So I'm reading through this last guy's post... something like "blah, blah, blah... I'm smart, you're stupid... blah, blah, blah". But I can't help but ask myself, why is this person not writing under their screenname? I mean, if I were that smart and cocky, I sure as hell would leave my name. This way, when I actually use someone as a stepping stool, they'll have known not only that I was better than them, but I had called it correctly from the very start and the poor people never stood a chance! Like I said, leave your name, put your money where your mouth is... unless, of course... there is no merit behind your claim, Mr. Anonymous. Just food for thought.

Tuesday, December 28 2010 at 07:00 PM

To add to that, last time I checked "smart" people don't go around proclaiming how smart they are. Or maybe it's just what I have seen in my experiences.

Monday, January 10 2011 at 07:00 PM

Wow, so much negativity on your wall. Dont let others deflect your happiness! Congrats again and Thank you!!

Emory
Tuesday, January 25 2011 at 07:00 PM

How did you find out about Emory rejection? I think I might be receiving one, too...

congrats
Saturday, December 04 2010 at 07:00 PM

congrats on UA despite your current haters on here! instead of trying to put you down and spelling the Presidents name wrong they should focus on their own failed cycles!!

Thursday, September 24 2009 at 08:00 PM

Why are you thinking about not going? Cost? Second thoughts?

Thursday, September 24 2009 at 08:00 PM

I'm right there with you. I'm having the same doubts myself. The debt/job prospects ratio is terrifying!
