Additional info & updates

Five years since undergrad. First generation college student and worked full-time through school. Since graduation I've been working in broadcasting and casino marketing.

Scholarship information is per year. I got an LSAC fee wavier so just about all my application fees were waived (UNLV being one notable exception)

3/8 What is up with University of San Francisco? Not only are their merit schollys not renewable... if I decided to attend I would have to go to a MANDATORY summer program before they could release me in the general population. Then they suggested, no "strongly urged" that I transfer into a part-time program because I wouldn't be be able to handle the work load. I know I'm old, and a URM but REALLY?

2/28
Georgetown would have been a cycle-ender for me. I didn't think I had a shot at cracking the T14. Now I have to decide if I want to launch a waitlist campaign or just go to UIUC and be done with it.
2/2
Feeling kinda dinged by Northeastern... Oh well. After I got a full-ride offer from UNLV I sent out a few VERY late apps to Boston U, and Georgetown's P-T program.

Congrats on the UNLV full-ride. Looks like they really want to keep us Nevada people in state. Good luck on the rest of your choices.

Congratulations!

Way to go with those awesome scholarships to San Diego and UIUC! :) Are you even considering UNLV anymore?

Thanks!

Thanks for the support guys. It does look like UNLV is trying to keep the local kids in state and Boyd's still on the table for me. My best friend lives in Vegas, plus it's close to home. But UIUC is an amazing school... in the middle of nowhere. And San Diego is so beautiful... I just don't know yet.

WOW!

Congrats on the University of Illinois, and Lewis Clark, some of the best schools in the entire country! Also, I agree with you that San Diego is quite beautiful, one of my favorite places in the world. Keep in mind, job prospects are contingent upon the school you chose. UNLV is too new to yield the results that the other two schools can yield. Also, UNLV isn't ranked as high as the other two and San Diego and Illinois is offering more money. I didn't apply to UNLV, however, I have seen the US News Rankings. Good luck to you!

That you will! The time is slowly creeping nearer too.
