RokoMotion (2022-2023)

11/29/07 - There was a little drama through the entire application process, but I'm finally feeling better now that it's a week behind me. My last and most important letter of recommendation had not come in after over two weeks of processing time, and the "complete date" for Penn had already come and passed, making me worried that Penn would review my application before they received the final letter. After checking LSDAS compulsively every hour, I finally broke down and asked my recommender to resubmit it. Fortunately, the letter was processed the day he resent it, and my responsibilities were over! Now it's just compulsively checking my mail instead of my letters. COME ON Penn! Show me some love!

12/2 - Ok, starting to get a bit antsy. You'd think that all the large envelopes containing letters from schools like Western South-Central Kentucky State Tech University would have stopped arriving by now...because everytime I go to the mailbox and see a large gift, I'm duped by some pretender. *Sigh* Only 2 more weeks I suppose.

12/5 - Winter quarter is finally over, and now all I have to do is sit and wait. My daily schedule for the next month (with no classes!) will consist of:

9:00 a.m. Roll over
9:15 a.m. scratch my back
9:32 a.m. wake up
9:33 a.m. check my mail
10:15 a.m. eat 1st Breakfast
10:30 a.m. check my mail
10:31 a.m. go back and make sure I didn't mess anything in the mailbox
11:00 second breakfast
11:15 check my mail.

12/06 - In at Duke! Just got the email last last night. I'm so excited...the battle has finally begun :) Hopefully a few more coming soon.

12/09 - In at NYU! I'm so excited. Now all I have to do is wait for Penn. I know some people will question why I went ED at Penn instead of shooting for CCN, but I talked to a lot of friends and professors and decided I'd probably be happier at Penn than in New York. I really want to specialize in Con Law, so I really like Penn's interdisciplinary opportunities (History Grad Classes) and Historial Location (Philly). I think once you get to that point, it's really about which place "fits" you best. They're all amazing schools. Now the worst I can do is NYU!

12/14 - In at PENN! Got a call from the Dean of Admissions today. I'm so happy, words can't really describe it. Finally validation for all the hard work during UG. I'm so excited and grateful for the cycle to come to a swift and happy end.
