Additional info & updates

6/06 - Going to Chicago next week for JMLS open house and to talk to admission officer about August 07 and jumping off of that hated waitlist. If I don't make the "jump", I'll prob move to Chicago in the fall and work until classes start in January.

5/17/07: Withdrew from NESL and Whittier. Will be attending JMLS in August if picked up from wait list or for sure in January (confirmed offer). I would love to fall off of the wait list at Southwestern, but not holding my breath.

I really appreciate your positive comments that you posted on my site. For the past two months, all I've been havng to do is defend myself. People ask for my opinion, which, again, is only an opinion, I never stated I'm god or anything, nor would I ever claim to be. Yet they don't have the RESPECT for me or for this website, (as it's really an insult to post negative comments about other people, when this website is designed to provide information about schools and the cycle). If you don't get off the waitlist, John Marshall isn't a bad school. Just because I suffered major medical problems when I entered that school doesn't mean the school isn't a good one. The reason I didn't re-apply there was simply because I don't really want to stay in the Chicago area. But I really appreciate the fact that you can look past all of the other people who are so negative and have serious attitude problems and look at the positive aspects of my profile. You have a very significant resume as well. Hopefully Southwestern will let you off the waitlist, though. I'll keep in touch through e-mail, since there are too many people who have no RESPECT posting comments on here.

Hey I have not decided yet where I am going to go, as I might actually wait a year. I have not heard from JM in a while, but it definately looks like a school I would want to go to. I am actually going to tour next week, as I have a good friend that works in Chicago and I could room with him if I started in December. What about you? Are you going to go for sure in January as it says? Anyways, keep me posted. And I had a question about the London Law Internship you did, that is something I really want to do myself.

Thanks for the kind words

Its nice to hear some encouragement from someone who knows what we go through. Congrats on the acceptance to JMLS. With your attitude you'll make a great lawyer and be successful in anything you do! I wish you all the best!

Yes, I will be a JMSL in January for sure and HOPEFULLY in August. I'm flying to Chicago next week for the open house and to talk with an admissions officer and try to wiggle into the August class. DG's will rock law school! Can't wait to meet you.

JMLS Open House

I think that the JM Open House is most likely for 2007/2008 cycle, but I thought this would be a great opportunity to talk with admit office and take a tour. Don't worry, I'm sure you are still in their mail loop! Wish me luck...

good luck!

UNLV and News
Wednesday, February 07 2007 at 07:00 PM

I haven't heard anything from them. Usually it takes them quite some time to have people get off the wait list (in July is what I've heard). So I probably won't be posting any news until then. Although we'll just have to see. I just bought a new house in Las Vegas, but it won't be built until December. I have no idea what Southwestern and NIU are doing with my applications. But I guess right now I'm not caring much. Michigan State is basically the only one I care about. If I got in there, I can move in with a friend of mine, go there for a year, and then transfer back to UNLV. Unless, of course, I get in there off the waitlist. I wonder if Southwestern will ever notify me. I'm thinking I will send the Admissions officer an e-mail asking if they are requiring any other information, since the website continues to say that my file is incomplete. Yet I've gotten no letter or any other correspondence asking for anything else, and I've sent them more information than they've even asked for. Oh well. When I get some news, I'll let you know.
