Additional info & updates

4/15/10: I didn't qualify for any grant money from Davis since I made a little too much this year. However, I was able to negotiate a 10K per year merit scholarship. I finally know where I'm going!

4/8/10: In at Davis! I'm pumped! Now to see if I can get any money. Unfortunately, I just can't justify the tuition without something to offset it, so I'm really hoping for a decent grant!

4/1/10: I got home from work today and decided to withdraw from Pacific. They offered my a gigantic scholarship and the admissions office has been extremely helpful, but the school just seems a little risky to attend. If my scholarship wasn't renewed for the 2/3L years, I would be devastated. At this point, I'm about 90% sure that I will end up at UNLV. A little money at Davis could change things, but I'm not optimistic about that. I'm making plans to move to Vegas, but a I'm still hoping for a miracle offer from UCD.

3/26/10: UOP scholarship info removed per request by the school.

3/25/10: Got the official word from Oregon. Unfortunately the scholarship barely makes a dent in the tuition price. I really wanted to live in Oregon, but I can't justify going to UO or L&C with my other offers. I'm withdrawing to help out those who are still waiting.

3/15/10: Waitlisted at Utah. I'm pretty damn surprised, but I wasn't planning on attending anyway.

2/3/10: The mailman brought me a bunch of acceptances today! UNLV offered me a full tuition scholarship and jumped to the top of my list! Lewis & Clark accepted me but stiffed me on the scholarship. Bummer, I really wanted to live in Portland. I'm very happy about UNLV!!

2/2/10: Accepted to Arizona via status checker. Shocked that it came so quickly. Most exciting acceptance so far!
Update: 16k per year!

1/29/10: Accepted to UNLV via email, no scholarship info yet. I am visiting the school in 2 weeks.

1/26/10: Santa Clara acceptance letter in the mail today. In with the Emery Merit Scholarship of $8,000 per year. Not particularly exciting, but atleast the I have two acceptances : ^)

1/25/10: First decision from USD via regular mail. Update: 15k per year scholarship.

12/30/09: Noticed some glaring typos on my Oregon app. Sent a revision and letter of apology. Hopefully it won't hurt my chances.

12/28/09:LSAT scores released. I'm pretty disappointed with my 163, since I was prep-testing much higher. Shit happens.......I decided not to apply to UCLA and USC since my chances are too slim to waste the $174.

Congrats on USD! Yeah, as far as I can see, no one at SD has gotten scholy info yet. I can relate to your LSAT exp. I was getting high 160s - low 170s on practice exams. And then I choked on Dec test day. It's crazy what nerves can do to you, huh? :/

Thanks for the congratulations! I see you just got in as well. I'm excited to go pay a visit.

UNLV

Nice work! UNLV is very tempting. I just got accepted at Utah and I am debating between the security of guaranteed in-state tuition at a little bit higher ranked school vs. full ride with stipulations at UNLV. I would love to be somewere warm for 3 years.

We sure are. Congrats on your acceptances so far. How come you didn't apply to Loyola or Pepperdine?

This is great! You so deserve to be admitted! I was waitlisted today. I'm super excited about that because anything is better than a rejection. I hope they make the right move an offer you some money. Youre so smart!
