I got an email from Santa Clara that gave me a fee waiver code. -Autumn

I didn't rank my schools because, although it would be convenient to go to Pitt, I will pretty much go to the best school that accepts me and maybe gives me some kind of money.

Thanks

Thanks for the congrats and good luck with your apps. I'm still crossing my fingers on Mason.

I see we both got waitlisted at Miami. I don't know about you but they are pretty high up on my list. Do you plan to stay on the WL? Any idea what are chances might be?

Thanks!

Franklin Pierce
Tuesday, March 21 2006 at 07:00 PM

Franklin Pierce was originally my first choice due to my chance of acceptance and desire to study IP.... I just got back from Accepted Students Day at Drexel, and it seems the program is going to be awesome. Why didn't you apply? A female chemistry major from PA with your GPA.... probably would go for free. It's taking a chance, but it seems like a small one, might want to consider throwing them an app and paying a visit... that is if you don't have enough to choose from already.

Also...

Wicked confused now as well... I think George Mason threw out fee waivers to B.S. people to bulk up their IP program, I got one too, but not expecting acceptance.

yeah...

I'll be at Franklin Pierce on the 8th. I'm looking forward to it pretty heavily -- I figure they'll either talk me into their program, or push me completely towards Drexel. On the topic of fee waivers/B.S. kids, I just got one from Santa Clara like an hour ago. Cali is really really tempting.

I was very impressed by the faculty and the program, but I'm not sure if I belong. It was very low-key, I think I want something with more energy. Also, that school seemed like its own private city: 300-something kids + professors, and no one else, always in the building. I'm coming from a small school and not sure I want to go any smaller,; especially when all my classmates seem like they'll be at least 5 years older. Were you there?

oops

i should have sent that while logged in.

George Mason

So they finally got back to me... rejected as well. No surprise, I just wish rejection letters weren't so patronizing.

goooo tooo Seton Halllll!
Tuesday, February 14 2006 at 07:00 PM

Unless there is a really good reason not too. Is 7.5k a year enough to make the difference btwn the two?

well...

I can't go to both Miami and Pitt so hopefully you get one of those spots. However, I have a hang on to both till I visit Miami in a few weeks (and hopefully get off the USD waitlist). Good luck!

Did you contact them with any additional information?

Case
Tuesday, September 27 2005 at 08:00 PM

Just sent a letter describing my recent accomplishments at work, an update for my resume with new paralegal work helping file patent applications, and a personal note that my wife is willing to move if accepted. Cross your fingers for me and keep praying for divine intervention.

Congratulations, it looks like all you need is to be on another waitlist. I will be sending them another letter to tell them they are my first choice (arent they all) and let you know how it goes.
