Additional info & updates

FINAL DECISION: I have defered my acceptance to Case and will be heading to Cleveland next summer to prepare for my three year sentence.

Catholic - depressingly thin business envelope

Maryland - depressingly thin business envelope

American - depressingly thin business envelope

Mercer - depressingly thin business envelope with free prozac coupon

GW - depressingly thin business envelope with certifcate of insanity

Temple - depressingly thin business envelope that got right to the point

George Mason - depressingly thin business envelope, kudos to them for the original signature

Franklin Pierce - has requested an interview; thought it went well, mostly open ended questions (Tell us more about yourself, where do you want to be in 10 years, etc.) Obviously my impression was wrong. I am quite upset about this one since they have such a great reputation for intellectual property.

W&L - big surprise in a little envelope that suggested I travel back through time, get my mom hooked on crystal meth, move into a cardboard box, covert my DNA to genetically qualify as Antartican, and overcome all of this to even be considered a serious candidate with my awesome numbers

UNC - thin white business envelope explaining that I was not competitive enough.

Penn State - thin business envelope, this one is truly depressing

Richmond - very pleased to receive letter placing me on the "Priority Waiting List" in a thin business envelope. Sending a follow-up note.

William & Mary - thin business envelope. Surprise! I was not the statistical miracle this year.

Villanova - thin business envelope. Thankfully I will not have to decide wiether it would be worth the 30% increase in debt after 3 years on the Main Line.

Case - Accepted by phone...likely to defer, due to short notice.

South Carolina - thin business envelope. Left a message about reconsideration of their decision and haven't heard back. No ability to appeal decision.

Miami - thin business envelope, so much for studying under a palm tree.

Syracuse - thin business envelope, I guess I waited too long.

Hey. I was notified by letter, large manila envelope. Send me an e-mail and I'll give you more info. We have similar numbers and you seem to be of similar age as well.

Richmond Waitlist

Good news - There ARE two waitlists, and you're on the better one. A couple of us on LSD compared our letters with another priority wl candidate, and it turns out, the letters are different. Looks like when folks start withdrawing from UoR, you guys will be first in line for any open spots in front of us run-of-the-mill WLers. Good luck.

Thanks

For your really nice note of encouragement - Best of luck with Richmond - I think you have a great chance of earning admission.

No, I didn't contact them between confirming the priority waitlist (which I did with a personal e-mail rather than just returning the postcard) and getting accepted. Good luck.

Way to go on appealing USC's decision, hold those bitches accountable. I just got waitlisted there, so I may write another essay to update them on my stunning good looks and superb beer drinking skills. Best of luck, I hope we both get to go!
