I applied early December, but didnt go complete until late Jan (b/c they require two LORs). Accepted late Feb.
Good news - There ARE two waitlists, and you're on the better one. A couple of us on LSD compared our letters with another priority wl candidate, and it turns out, the letters are different. Looks like when folks start withdrawing from UoR, you guys will be first in line for any open spots in front of us run-of-the-mill WLers. Good luck.

No, I didn't contact them between confirming the priority waitlist (which I did with a personal e-mail rather than just returning the postcard) and getting accepted. Good luck.
Way to go on appealing USC's decision, hold those bitches accountable. I just got waitlisted there, so I may write another essay to update them on my stunning good looks and superb beer drinking skills. Best of luck, I hope we both get to go!
I sent them a letter of continued interest about my research and how much i wanted to go there. I still haven't heard anything back yet though :/
