any info on the hall? It's a longshot for me, but they are taking an eternity to notify me!

good luck

good luck throughout the cycle. Hopefully a great school will be able to see through that LSAT.

seton hall

batter, you should ask for pt to seton hall if you really want to go there. they sometimes offer it to kids just like you, great grades and a bad test. you can switch over after a year with a certain gpa. good luck

seton update

called and asked about my application, they said they were waiting for my february scores- I had cancelled that appoinment in january so... a lesson learned, call to make sure everything is o.k. don't depend on someone else... it's like that movie Orange County with colin hanks.

Honestly it's the stuff like the drapery that makes me laugh at him. Anybody can be a fundie, but only he does such ridiculous stuff with it.

Question
Tuesday, March 14 2006 at 07:00 PM

Is it better to be admitted into a tier three or four school- or wait a few years, gain some "real world" exper. and then see if you could get into a better school? Or is a school still a school by any other name?

thank you ms. couch

thank you ms. couch. Well informed you are.

No Problem Yoda!

You asked! So I felt the need to explain, the whole ABA thing isn't as scary once you understand the process. You should look at Drexel. The application is free and you can do it online, they are accepting applications until June, and they may even throw some $$$ your way!

Thanx 4 the comment...actually i'm sure that helped alot..i was student body prez of top public university, and involved in alot of advocacy since 17...i focused alot on my p.s and tried to get each recommender to focus on central theme...I won' lie though, i'm surprised as hell about seton hall..Congrats also, and best of luck on rest of process.

Pace
Saturday, November 12 2005 at 07:00 PM

Hey -- I'm choosing to attend Pace over NYLS because of the cost. Pace, though expensive for a T3 school, is significantly cheaper than NYLS. Plus living expenses are cheaper opposed to living in the City. Where are you thinking about attending?

Oh, and by the way...
Thursday, September 22 2005 at 08:00 PM

I applied to FSU, UF, Stetson, Cardozo, Brooklyn, and some Chicago schools back in 2001, but didn't know any better and sent them in late March, early April and didn't get in ANYWHERE, so this time I was a lot more prepared and thought my personal statement was pretty dern good. My real world experience (as just about everything, from bartender to ESL teacher to paralegal) probably helped me out a bit with repect to my one admit, one WL, and one deferral.

Your comment re: SHU v. NYLS
Thursday, September 22 2005 at 08:00 PM

Hey!! I just noticed your comment that you made on my profile about me getting into SHU but wailisted by NYLS (do they have a thingy that notifies you when someone sends you a comment?) Anyways, I'm not so sure that SHU is so much better than NYLS. I mean, yeah, USNWR ranks SHU higher, but still... I dunno... I guess I'm just still hoping for an admit to NYLS b/c I only live 3 blocks from there. Hehehe. Oh, and I agree with those other posters on seeking P/T admission to SHU - that's what I got into (although it's also what I wanted too - have a job but little money and have been out of school for 5 years, so I want to ease into it). I still don't even know why I got into SHU with my #s - guess they liked something "real" about me. :) Good luck on your pendings and WLs!!

its over
Tuesday, March 14 2006 at 07:00 PM

well, its all over. "This is the end, my friend, the end." The Doors... four years of hard work and i can't get into tier 1 school- disenchanted? You fucking bet. maybe ill move to switzerland and not go to law school; people with worse credentials got into better schools than me- even worse lsat scores. Damn. I feel like shit. I'm complaining like a b#tch. sorry to annoy you all... It's over, i think.

problem
Tuesday, March 14 2006 at 07:00 PM

great, nyl now wants me... what the fuck do I do now? I ask ten people which is a better school, pace or nyl, I get ten different answers, shit..
