Decided Pace was the best option for me. I got off the 'Cuse waitlist too late (8/6) and I had already completed my fin. aid for Pace. I would have loved the 'Cuse, but $$$ makes more sense at Pace since I will be living with my Aunt for free, not to mention the scholarship, which is not a lot, but every little bit helps.

Congrats on NESL! I sent my app in today, about a month and a half after my other 9 went in...I just wasnt sure. How long did it take you to find out? Thanks!

Thanks. I was really surprised by the rejection. I knew my chances were pretty slim...but I thought I could at least get placed on a waitlist or something. Hang in there though...they could come through for you! Your 2nd LSAT score is nice, and your GPA is high!

Thanks!

Looks like we have pretty similar numbers. MSU must be on a mission to raise its' rankings. Won't be a big deal if I get rejected, but still disappointing.

Suffolk/NESL?

Do you have any info on Suffolk vs. NESL? I am still only hoping to hear from both, got my apps in late, Early Feb. so I know it could be a while. Any info on reputation, courses? It seems that Suffolk is more highly regarded, but NESL has more abroad programs, clincs and journals...

I was a bit surprised to hear from Pace so soon. The decision came via snail mail. Good luck with the rest of your apps. Hopefully more of the NY schools will turn to the waitlist this year.

There was no mention of being taken off the waitlist. It was the standard acceptance packet. The waitlist letter I received was the same exact letter I received last year when I applied. I would continue to call them for updates.

advice on getting off the waitlists, a friend just suggested this, write them a letter of intent telling them they are your first choice and you would attend immediately, provide them with reasons why, then tell them updates on your transcripts and resumes.

Hello there! I did not like the WNEC campus at all, so I am definitely not going there. Right now I thnk I am going to NESL; I loved the school and the area of Boston!

hey man, as far as the waitlist goes, my success i guess comes from really realting to the admissions comitte and faculty. At seton hall i talked to a afew professors, told them how much i wanted to go to SHU etc, and one actually ended up talking to the admissions comittee, so if your a personable person, that could help a lot...

I noticed that you improved your LSAT score pretty drastically. Any advice?

Read what you said about learning the strategies for the LSAT but not applying them until you retook the test the second time. I think that is what I did. I knew the strats but being able to apply them under pressure if much different then applying them on a practice exam. I scored a 149 on my last LSAT but I am thinking about retaking the test.
