Additional info & updates

10/4 - Interview with Northwestern went very well.

10/25 - Kent called to say my application was complete. (?)

11/7/05 - I was starting to worry about my Loyola app, since they haven't emailed to say it's complete. I brilliantly decided to check their website today, and it seems they are already backlogged and won't be sending out confirmation emails until mid to late Nov. All is well.

Chicago-Kent: Email from Professor saying I was admitted and acceptance package is in the mail.

12/21/05 - Letter from Kent awarding me full scholarship!

12/29/05 - Waitlisted at NW via status checker. They claim to re-evaluate the waitlist in May, and I plan on doing everything possible to stay at the top of it. It's disapointing, but at least they didn't reject me outright.

1/3/06 - Email from the Loyola Admissions Office requesting a letter of standing from Tulane Law.

1/17/06 - Letter from UChicago requesting interview and additional essay. App on "hold" until Feb 17th.

1/26/06 - Thick #10 envelope from Loyola. 24K per year, renewable for 3 years.

2/23/06 - Still haven't heard from Chicago. Officially freaking out.

3/21/06 - Rejected at Chicago.

4/3/06 - Withdrew from Chicago-Kent

4/20/06 - Sent intial deposit to Loyola. Still hoping NW will come through.

6/15/06 - Email from NW placing me on the "shortened summer waitlist."

7/18/06 - I plan to wait for NW until the very end. If all else fails I will attend Loyola and apply to transfer next year.

Will that get me into Harvard??

Let's hope so

Because you deserve Harvard - GW and Boalt surprise me with your background. And the hell with Yale.

hmm..

I am surprised you were waitlisted at GW with your stats. It seems you deserve better

You should get into American soon. I heard they were really backed up. They didn't offer me any money though...

This is one of the reasons Tulane is so appealing, especially when I start to think about those student loans.

Thats interesting. The University of Alabama just offered me basically the same thing. I wondering how common that is and why exactly they do it.

Fuck you

Oh, and fuck you. Also, at which point does another major (any major) prepare you to take the LSAT, jackass?

tulane isn't nearly as regional as you may think.. I was reading on Vault that it places very well on gulf corridor and NYC. Might see you in NO though next year.

Congrats on Tulane. I think that your honors could have landed you at Harvard, but I'm glad that we'll have you at Tulane. I'm headed down to Nola from Chicago to look for apartments soon, though I really don't know much about the neighborhoods. See you in the fall.

Congratulations on getting accepted to Kent. I am still waiting. I got denied last year, but that was for the FT program. So I applied for the PT program for next year instead, since my LSAT is just too low for their FT program, even though I have great qualifications and a Master's. I work in a law office now where one of the attorney's is a Kent alumni and I was thinking of having her write a letter, but I'm afraid to bother her about it. It's been about 5 weeks since I was complete. So...I just don't know. I was hoping to hear by Christmas, but I doubt it. But good luck to you. Sorry about your situation with Katrina. I'm sure they'll take that into consideration. Hopefully you'll get into NW. That's a great school, but my stats were just not good enough to go there.

nu today hopefully?

so last year they notified ppl around the 20th..... and now the website is down....hopefully they are updating the status check.... fingers crossed!

Well, still haven't heard anything. I don't know if it's because they don't care about part-time applications at this point in the cycle or what. I'm just really not very thrilled. I work in a legal office now and I love my job. It would be so great to get an acceptance and not have to worry about going to school for awhile.

nu where are u?
Tuesday, December 13 2005 at 07:00 PM

its weird... i think all of the people accepted the other day were reg dec or early action.... is there a way to view all of the ED people on this site without looking at every single profile?
