Additional info & updates

1.28.2010: Not much going on. Accepted to NYLS and waitlisted at CUA. Headed to JMLS this weekend for an open house. Anyone else going? Hopefully I'll pick up some good vibes.

12.18.2009: Waitlisted at UC. I can't believe it. With my numbers, I thought I would have been rejected automatically. There is still hope!

11.18.2009: It was about time for bad news. Heard from DePaul. A beautiful, heartfelt, loving letter that basically stated: REJECT. Wonderful. Still waitinggggg. Keeping major fingers crossed for CUA and UC. Please please please please.

11.17.2009: Heard from JM this past week. Accepted with a 12,000/yr scholarship. Yay! Also got a letter from UBalt today for a scholarship for half tuition. Making this difficult, but still waiting on my dreams schools...

11.09.2009: I've heard from JM this past week; finally changed to "complete." Also, applied to UC. It's close to home. At a recent law fair I had the chance to talk with some reps. I've looked into the school and decided to try it out. (Chances are slim). We'll see....

10.30.2009: Received a large packet from UBalt in the mail. MY FIRST LAW SCHOOL ACCEPTANCE! Totally pumped. :)

10.12.2009: Received an email from UBalt today telling me that my file was complete. Their admissions website said it could take around 4 weeks to come up with a decision, so I'm still playing the waiting game. I also reworked my law school list; I decided the three options in Boston were too far away. So, I applied to New York Law School and will probably add a few others. Getting closer to getting all my apps out!

10.08.2009: Received an email from Catholic saying that my file was complete. Email also said that I'll get a decision before December 22. Broke out in a nervous sweat. Accept me! :)

9.30.2009: Had made personal goal to get all my apps out by October 1. Clearly, that's not going to happen. I've spent too much time catching up on "Survivor" and "The Office." Grrr. Also, rethinking my list. Is Boston too far from home? Decide to do some more research and maybe add some schools...

9.25.2009: Sent out my CUA Application. I toured it last year and fell in love. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one big time.

9.20.2009: Received email from JM saying they had received my app.

9.20.2009: Received email from DePaul saying they had received my information. They start reviewing applications mid-November.

9.18.2009: Sent out Applications to DePaul and John Marshall-Chicago. Here we gooooo....

That sucks about DePaul... Oh well, at least you have a scholaship to another school! Congrats!

Can't believe it about DePaul- you and I have almost identical numbers. I still haven't had a response, but now think it is NOT looking good. How do you feel about John Marshall? I got in too, and a $48K scholarship. Good luck on the rest!

well as far as I know they are notifying with an actual letter and not email. others on some sites did mention they got an email, but others still said they found out by letter only. since they said decision mailed on 12/10, and today is 12/13, and i have no idea what the decision, i think in my case they sent a letter. i do hope to find out soon.

Good luck with Catholic! I was dinged there today, but I think you will get in. Since you haven't heard yet, I'd say that is good news.

My status checker just went to "Decision Mailed" and I never received any e-mail. From what I've read, it seems to be once your status checker says this, you will get an acceptance e-mail usually by the next day or so. Big packet in the mail=good, smaller letter=not good. I was pretty bummed out, but not all that shocked. Best of luck!

Hang in There!
