SO ... a friend of mine (similar numbers) just got a Butler at Columbia ... So I decided to apply there. I figure because I am so late in the cycle, it will most likely NOT be a woo! haha ... but again, i just couldn't live with the "what if" ... so there ... woo!? we'll see :p

woo! for Georgetown (i'm super psyched about getting in here ... it was a target school so i'm happy) came in small envelope

woo! for Vandy (safety school - i'll withdrawl soon) came in small envelope

Berkeley sent an email saying that they were going to hold my application for further review ... but that i had "passed an initial screening" ... woo!? we'll see :p

Received the little white envelope with a clear window from Stanford today ... definately not a woo! ... haha first rejection .... stings a little but i'll be ok

Ouch, got dinged at Yale (of course this comes as no surprise, but there could've been at least one acceptance between the two rejections, right? haha) ... oh well, definately not a woo! ... they were impressed with the originality of my 250 essay though ... go figure! Letter came in a small white envelope.

Wow ... So I wrote an email to Vandy to follow up on scholarships/financial aid questions ... they told me I was going to be receiving $75,000. Unfortunately though, I don't see myself going there, so I withdrew before the temptation becomes "too big" ... hahaha ... hopefully GULC will make a similar offer :)

Ok ... hmmm ... following up with some of the schools since I haven't heard from them in a while ... just found out that was accepted to BU ... woo! Prob will withdraw soon though ... although they did say I was being considered for a scholarship :)

Duke Duke Duke ... Got a nice email today from Duke. They were very optimistic about offering admissions ... BUT ... for the time being I was placed on their waitlist ... hmmm ... it's unlikely they will offer any $$$ so I'm most likely going to withdraw. I'll ride it out for now ... therefore, a non-emphatic "woo" :p

ouch ... this one actually hurts ... the "third" ding out of the HYS ... today I was dinged at HLS via email ... ok ... not a woo! ... don't know what to say ... good thing GULC is at least tied with HLS in international law :) common NYU!!!

woo! Finally heard back from UC Berkeley ... when I didnt get "the call" welcoming me to Boalt Hall ... I was concerned. However, I g ot materials along with a letter in the mail today. Called UC Berk to find out they had tried to call but weren't able to get a hold of me!!! Although I am excited about getting into Boalt ... I dont see them offering $$$ ... therefore, I am likely to withdraw my app soon ... woo! for G-Town and COMMON NYU!!!

So ... got a letter from Columbia. On "reserve" (I'm thinking that means I have been deferred/waitlisted) ... woo?! Common Columbia ... show me some love :)

BTW - Haven't hear a word from NYU ... hmmmm ... kind of worried :(

Finally ... my cycle is coming to an end ... woo!

Got the U Penn waitlist ... decided to withdraw!
Withdrew from the Duke waitlist!

AND I feel as if this will make SOME people happy ... haha ... WITHDREW from BERKELEY!!! WOO! I hope this helps one of you out :)

So now I'm waiting for NYU (and the Columbia deferral) ... Am really excited about GULC (the $$$ above is just scholarship .... maybe I can get some Fin. Aid too ... that would be sweet!)

Hurray!!! My cycle is OVER ... Fortunately NYU took forever to send me a decision (I got it on last week) and I was still able to "negotiate" with GULC ... they bumped my scholly up! WOO!

So, GULC it is! I will see you HOYA LAWYA's come August!
