Hell, numbers twin!

Hello, I noticed we have the same exact LSAT and GPA score - eerie, eh? :-) So far, I have only heard from Appalachian (I was Feb. LSAT, so I applied later than most) and of course got in there. I am curious, is there a reason why you haven't applied to more 'reach' schools? I think you could get in to a lot of very good schools with 'our' numbers...at least, I am hoping so, haha. Best, Jon

Sorry, that was meant to be 'hello!' Not 'hell'. Didn't proofread it. :-)

If you get a scholarship offer from Regent, let us know how much it was. I'm curious about it too. I hope St Louis opened the doors for you. :-)

Sorry to hear about you getting waitlisted. Are you going to stick it out with them or fall back on Regent? BTW, congrats on the scholarship. Too bad I wasn't part of Intervarsity or maybe I would have been given better treatment. :-P

If you don't want the Regent IVCF scholarship, can you give it to me instead? :-) To be fair, I looked at the criteria and the only way you qualify for 22,000 a year was if your LSAT was higher than 161 AND your GPA was higher than 3.2 So what they actually gave sounds about right. It's far better than my weenie scholarships though, and I applied during their priority consideration period. If you applied after Feb 1st you wouldn't have been given priority consideration for school sponsored financial aid. Still, it irks me that despite your applying late you still got more money than I did. Figures. :-X Good luck with St Louis, I think you'll get in there especially since you'll have the luxury of sticking it out until late summer.

It's hard to pass up 10K and free tuition so i don't know??

Just so you know, a 3.3 is about the top 15-20% each year. You can easily gain residency status after 12 months so, if you lose your scholarship, you get 14k tuition. But 10k is hard to pass up. Maybe the 3.3 requirement will make you work harder. Since SLU has you on the waitlist, they probably will not offer any money. I would go with Akron, no doubt in my mind. i visited there as well, if you would like to know anything. I also did an insane amount of research. I know that school like the back of my hand now.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I know you were hoping to get in -- that is really great! I hope I hear good news on my WL school soon! I got Jay Sekulow's new book, too, and was planning on a visit around mid-May, but I think I will keep holding out for Tech. We'll see! Go out and celebrate! Best of success to you!

I feel you on that... my work will pay for Akron and books, etc, plus I'd be making my normal income and I'd be vested in our retirement plan... it's such a tough decision because I'd love to move out west and go to Willamette or L & C.

I sent in my withdrawal from Akron just now, so unfortunately I don't think we'll be classmates! At least not for 1L :)

thanks!
