My overall GPA is low because of low grades in my first two years due to a medical condition explained in my addendum. Final 2 year GPA is a 3.4.

I'm starting to really get nervous because I haven't heard a single thing from any school. I would have thought I would have my rejection from UC Berkeley by now at least considering its a virtual impossibility that I'm in there. Maybe I should have applied to Golden Gate University as well...

3/14/07
Still no word. I opened the mailbox yesterday and I saw a large envelope with my name on it and my heart started to race. Turned out to just be graduation info from UCSB. This waiting is going to drive me nuts!

3/18/07
Well I got my first response. Berkeley rejected me, not a big surprise, I applied thinking "Oh what the hell, why not just try...". I thought that it would really suck to get a rejection first but since it was Berkeley I'm not too distressed. I'm really hoping for some good news to come out of Santa Clara, USF, or Pacific. An odd thing I've noticed is that Santa Clara hasn't sent out a response since the 2nd of March, at least not to someone on this website...

I'M GOING TO LAW SCHOOL! I got accepted into USF via snail mail today and I am very excited. It is a relief to know that I'm going somewhere and USF has made me a very happy individual. I would love to practice in the Bay Area so this is fantastic news.

3/30/07
I was rejected via online checker from Davis.

4/14/07
I just received a letter informing me that I have been waitlisted at USD. I'm choosing to stay on the list and I think I may be sending some more LoR to them soon.

4/22/07
Waitlisted at Loyola... looks like the waiting game is going to continue.

4/25/07
In at SCU and I'm really excited. I am interested in IP law and the prospects there are quite high. I've got some difficult decisions to make ahead of me, any advice would be great!

4/25/07
OK well it seems like when it rains it pours... I just got into UoP and I am in their honors program apparently. They will be paying for my 1st year books and they say a scholarship may be on its way. Very interesting indeed!

5/01/07
I'm a bit disappointed today because I finally got rejected from Hastings but its ok. SCU is a good school and so are Pacific and USF so I'm going to be happy next year no matter what.

5/6/07
Well I got a letter from UoP saying that they are offering me a deans scholarship for 10k per year contingent upon my grades remaining in the top third. I am considering writing to SCU and asking if they could offer me some financial assistance considering that I would much rather go there than to UoP.

5/8/07
The assistant dean from SCU just called and informed me that I have been awarded a 9k/yr scholarship. It is my official choice now, I have begun withdrawing from the other schools.

Well at least I'm not the only one rowing...it's a crap boat to be in though! Funny, I thought the same exact thing as you-- 'I should have applied to Golden Gate'. Best of luck...I'm going to go refresh my email inbox. Again.

I can't believe it's taking so long either! You've got great numbers though and I can't imagine you not getting in to several schools at least! I get the impression California schools, at least this year, are taking a bit longer. I hope you hear soon!!

Hey man, how did you hear from Loyola? I'm still waiting on them...I'm guessing a waitlist at best, but who knows. How are you feeling about USF?

Congrats

Santa Clara

Congrats!! I know you wanted to go there, but hopefully you get good news from UoP too! I just got dinged at Loyola so it's looking like NYC is where I'll end up...I can't really wait around to get off the waitlist in CA while planning to move to NY...Best of luck and congrats again!

USF Waitlist

Yeah, maybe I'll get your spot if you withdraw...they should introduce some sort of system where you can 'gift' your waitlist spot to a friend or colleague... Impractical? Yes. Ridiculous? Yes. But fun to think about, nonetheless... Best of luck with everything!!

What did your email to SCU say? I was thinking about writing something similar. What made you choose SCU over USF? Go Gauchos.
