I'm very excited about Rutgers! Oh, and we actually have the same numbers. I recently sent my updated transcript to LSDAS. So we are number twins and both work in the CJS!! lol....I went to Open House at Mercer. It seems like a really nice school but GOOD LUCK on all your aps! Ill be keeping up with your progress.
..for the post. Hey - we're almost identical in our apps. Same major, LSAT, LSAC GPA, cum laude graduate. cool. Good luck!
I am also waiting to hear from Mercer. Best of luck!!!!
Elegant031505, I got a letter today regarding my acceptance. I never called them. After being rejected on 12/22/05 and knowing that my file was not complete when they made the decision, I wrote and requested a review. Since the request, I received an email frm the Dean stating that there was an error and I was under review again. As I said before, God is good. Try calling. It wouldn't hurt to do so. I think it helped me with my Cooley acceptance. Best wishes.
I applied in September and heard October, the month at the very most.
I see your apps are pretty much complete so the waiting begins. I hope all goes well. Good luck.
They said the same thing to me, a couple of weeks. WOW weeks turn into months over there...hopefully they wont be an option :(
Well....I have something call self-pride and unfortunately alot of the times it gets in the way of me accomplishing great things! Yes I live in Jacksonville and I finally did apply to FL Coastal about 2 weeks ago---but I just didn't like the fact that the school was only about 1 or 2 buildings big and it looked like it was in a shopping center! And I really didn't like the fact that it isn't tied or connected to a Univ. System. Probably all silly reasons too! But that was pretty much it. I encourage you to look into it yourself still. I see you did apply so good luck. If I get in I'll go as long as I don't have any other admissions elsewhere! But don't let me discourage you....I'm sure the stats don't lie (well, most of the time!) Good Luck.
Congratulations on your acceptance to Coastal. From what I've read and the literature, DVD's, etc... that I've received from them, this is an excellent school. I'll be looking to see what else comes in for you. God Bless.
On FCSL and Barry. Can't wait for the others to come in. Good luck!
The school is moving into its new building this year. They will be in the old Citibank building over on Baypine road. The facility has been totally renovated. The school's "student centeredness" approach should also be appealing to most. I like everything about the school, quite frankly. The school also has a fledgling sports law center that should probably be well known within 10 years. I think you made a good choice in submitting an application there.
Sorry it tool me so long to reply. I'm still battling sickness within my household. My kids keep bringing things home. Unfortunately, my weekend plans to attend also is out of the question. Have fun and let me know how things went.
Thanks for the update on your visit! I still haven't heard from them or about 6 other schools on my list, so I'm still up in the air--but good luck to you with your other schools!
Wow, sorry to hear you weren't too impressed during your visit. Was it just the facilities that you thought weren't good. I know you said the dean said something a bit farfetched but do you think he mispoke or meant something else? Just wondering because I'm seriously considering it. They do seem impressive on paper and I spoke to a couple of students (current/past) and they love it. Any info you have would be great.
Congrats on getting into FAMU? I have not heard anything from them yet, but I would love to attend. Was it a big envelope?? I'm just so anxious, I think my mail lady is slow. Do you live in Orlando also? Just curious, well let me know. Congrats again.
I keep seeing these comments about FCSL saying that they are the "only" fully accredited private law school in this country. I think a little clarification is needed. Are you sure the school didn't say the ONLY fully accredited private "FOR PROFIT" law school? Indeed, it is so obvious that they are not the only private law school that is accredited. School officials must have been talking about their for-profit status. Had to be. I believe the school is the first and only ABA accredited private law school in this country. Really, it's so outlandish if the school said it was the only fully accredited private law school. That's just crazy.
My last comment should have said: "I believe the school is the first and only ABA accredited -- FOR PROFIT -- private law school in this country.
Thanks for the additional info. I understand, everyone has to feel comfortable where they go so good that you see it now. Others should start rolling in now that some of the seat deposit deadlines have passed. Hope to see more good news for you. Anyway, CONGRATS on FAMU! At least you have a few choices now.
Yeah. It's my thinking that the staff must have felt that their for-profit status was well known -- and that "of their kind" related to that status. I can't think of anything else that makes sense. It would have been ridiculous for them to say they were the only accredited private law school in the US. Just silly. Anyhow, take care.
How did you hear from FAMU? I have sent emails and left messages, but nobody responds....I am hoping to hear soon so I can make a decision.
wow on Florida A&M!! I am thinking of applying there next cycle. Way to go. Best wishes in law school.
Thanks for the suggestions. I had to pick and choose based on application costs. Nova was actually on my list until I picked a few others at the last minute, and as you see, I've applied to a lot and only a couple were free. Anyway, I see we have similar numbers so I hope all goes well for both of us. Good Luck!!
