Extra Curricular Information

There should be a choice "WL, withdrawn." That's what actually happened with Washington and Lee.

Additional info & updates

From most recent to least:

4/26- Scholarship money from UVA

4/18- The official UVA acceptance came in a letter. I went to visit Columbia this weekend (just in case). I'm going to try to go see UVA soon (not like it will change anything) and U Penn (again just in case). I swear I sent my Harvard app in a long time ago... why will they not respond??

4/15- UVA went to decision. ??? Columbia waitlisted me, which I take as a compliment.

4/14- On second thought, I don't want mail if it's gonna be bad news. Ah, what am I complaining about?

4/12- I now think UTA looks up these profiles online. Or maybe I'm just not Texas material. ;) Still. no. mail.

4/8- NOTHING!! NO NEWS!!! I am going insane from checking the mailbox!!

4/5- Miami refuses to stop spamming me! Also, ever since I figured out how cheap it would be to go to William and Mary (in-state + scholarships) I have started to fall more in love with the school. I've rethought my choice order now that decision time is coming. It would be nice if all my top choices weren't still pending so I can actually decide!

4/4- Don't ever apply to schools that send you fee waivers. Michigan's letter was actually dated April 1. I wonder if they're just kidding!! Those kidders! Um, no, I guess not.

3/30- Um, George Mason just offered me a $10K scholarship today by phone. Yeah... I withdrew my application yesterday.

I'm starting to withdraw from places, but it stresses me out a bit. I still can't bring myself to withdraw from Miami, W & M, and Fordham, because they all gave me money and are in relatively good locations. I can't withdraw from GW yet, because then I wouldn't have to move! It calls out to my lazy side. But I'm trying to do the right thing and start withdrawing so that others can get off the waitlists. Somebody withdraw from U Penn!

"yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of mailbox, I will fear no envelope, for thou art with me."
-Wombat, from L.S.D.

I took down personal info because I became paranoid that someone of importance may look me up. Sorry!

I probaby got my "no" from U Texas while I was on vacay. Just added it when I checked my mail Thursday. I wouldn't have gone there anyway!

Penn Law sent me an email about being waitlisted

3/17- American acceptance in big envelope

Cornell sent me a birthday email, followed ten minutes later by an acceptance email! Happy birthday!

Georgetown Def. then Waitlisted me- sucks.

George Mason called

GW emailed

Fordham emailed

William and Mary scholarship letter (in a regular envelope) beat the acceptance (in a large envelope)

U. of Miami has sent a million regular-sized envelopes. The sunshine is so tempting!

My index numbers are finally showing up!

Fee waivers used at Georgetown, Columbia, U. Michigan, U. Southern California, William and Mary, Washington & Lee, U. of Miami

Tons of fee waivers not used including: U. Minnesota

Thanks for the support regarding Notre Dame and GMU! You are doing great! GW, W&M and GMU are great schools! ND is my top choice, but family requirements may keep me in DC... Are you aiming to stay in the area? Good luck on you pending aps!

Congrats!

Congrats on Cornell! I am especially encouraged because we have similar numbers and I am waiting to hear from them. Though I am no H/L female. Good luck with your other apps.

Your Additional Information says that you were able to login to the UVA admitted students page on 4/15. But it's still 4/14 in the U.S. -- are you overseas? Either way, congrats on the UVA acceptance if that's what it turns out to be!
