FSU deferral

Hey Janey, I was deferred pretty early on, the letter is dated Feb. 3rd. Any other questions, let me know!

Index
Thursday, April 20 2006 at 08:00 PM

Can someone explain to me what the index is all about? I read in the FAQs what it means, but does it represent your chances of getting in? and how can the numbers be so different, i.e. UNC has really high numbers while Duke has very low ones. Any help with this would be much appreciated! =)

Thanks

Congrats on your acceptances too! My brother's fiance is just finishing up her 3L at Florida and she LOVES it. Has a plum job in West Palm Beach waiting for her too! Good luck with your waitlists and what not!

Rental Search

Any suggestions on good apartments for being as close to the law school as possible? I will not get to visit until later in May, when I have to sign a lease in a day.

HEY!
Wednesday, January 11 2006 at 07:00 PM

HEY! I signed at Spyglass. It is right near the mall. I thought it was fabulous. It's not the closest place to the law school, but it's not that far either. I have lived at many places around Gainesville. Email me. tell me what youre looking for and maybe I can help :) GO GATORS!

Thanks

House rentals?
Monday, February 20 2006 at 07:00 PM

How much are these house rentals going for? Also, who do you get into contact with to rent these houses? (are they managed by a real estate agent or something else or is it a free for all?) Thanks for all your help!

Well, I'm leaving for uf today to go talk to some people at the law school. I'll be able to give you a better answer when I get back.

Leaning towards taking a year off and getting a job at this point... provided no more info comes from Chicago or Harvard. Good luck for the rest of your cycle!

Re: UF

I'm from NC, so bball is everything. Plus, it would've gave me another rreason to choose UF over UNC (had I gotten in there as well). I didnt go to the admitted day b/c I visited back in Feb. I figured they were stingy with the money being a public school and all. I feel rather lucky to be honest in receiving anything. Did they provide any tips for financing law school or mention any other helpful info during the law day? Thanks

Hey congrats to u too...

Thanks for the congrats... i'm excited about the move, gville has always been a fun place to visit... good luck... and since we'll probably run into each other sometime soon, my real name's Steve Messer... see u in Aug.

G'ville
Monday, February 20 2006 at 07:00 PM

Visted and got a place with Camelot. I guess waiting this long left us with slim pickings. Loved Gainesville since it had pretty much all of the big chains that I would hate giving up (although how is there not a super walmart? Blacksburg has two and its maybe 1/5 the size of Gainesville). I guess all there is left to do is wait until August rolls around!

UF

price and location were the main reasons for the choice... it's another three years in gainesville for me too. see you in august!

Hey! I just wanted to know if you had any advice on getting into UF. You and I have similar numbers (153 / 3.65, very involved in SGA & tons of other things etc..). Any tips or ideas would help. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much!! Good luck!
