Additional info & updates

Extreme reverse splitter with some interesting softs (see left side of page for more information)

I hope my profile helps potential applicants make well informed decisions about not only where to apply (especially for reverse-splitters), but also whether one should go to law school at all. I have decided to complete my PhD (which is entirely funded). Best of luck to everyone out there with whatever you decide.

I only applied -binding- early decision to one school, American. The other school early decision options are non-binding. Good luck.

If we're twins, it seems you popped out just ahead of me ;-) I do wish you lots of luck with your applications. Looks like we applied to several of the same schools. I received a waitlist letter from GW today; I hope you fair better!

Sorry to see we're in the same boat with both DC schools. Hopefully the rest will be elated to have us!

Thanx

Hey Gator, thanks again for the Environmental Law rankings. Any idea where you might end up next year?

Thanks!
Monday, December 14 2009 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the words of encouragement... I had considered taking a year off, but even if I do extremely well this semester my GPA will still be sub-3.0, so I think I'm going to have to take what I can get this cycle. I am excited about W&L, and hoping for good news from GW soon (my alma mater).

Which admitted students day are you planning on attending? I'm hoping to make it to one of them.

Did your UF acceptance come in a big envelop or a small envelope? Mine's on the way!

Hey!

Gatorlion, I saw on TLS that you withdrew from L&C. Have you made a final decision?

Wednesday, August 12 2009 at 08:00 PM

Well, good luck next time around! Your EL spreadsheet was really helpful to me this cycle, so I wish ya the best.

Thanks!
Friday, May 29 2009 at 08:00 PM

Monday, December 29 2008 at 07:00 PM

Are you reapplying? Which school do you really want? Good luck wherever it is!

Monday, December 29 2008 at 07:00 PM

What kind of PhD are you pursing? I have always wanted to get in a PhD program but can't really make up my mind on the subject, and I don't know if I can put in the time commitment. Maybe later in life... You don't really need law school then :) go be a professor, more pleasant lifestyle :)

thank you !!!!!!!
Thursday, February 10 2011 at 07:00 PM

I wanted to express my gratitude to you for withdrawing from Denver and Boulder, I live here and if I don't get in to either I will probably just forgo law school (I can't deal with this process again). It was very nice of you to withdraw if not attending. Some of these chud monkeys pay seat deposit's at several schools to draw out their own final choice, that's just WHACK and hurtful to the rest of us ! :(

Friday, October 21 2011 at 08:00 PM

Was this all as an experiment? If so, I wish you had blanketed the T-14. WOuld have been interesting to see what kind of response you got with your softs, high GPA, and rather low LSAT.

awesome

This is the user profile I identity with most strongly. Coming from an academic-oriented background myself, I'm also weighing in the law school programs I've applied to against, well, everything else that life offers. As a "reverse splitter", I've also used this internet space mainly to demonstrate the balance that law schools maintain when considering applicants.
