Congratulations on the admit to UDM! If you don't mind...how did they notify you of your deferral and for how long were you deferred? I've been waiting for about 5 months for a decision and never got a deferral notice. Just wondering how they notified you of the deferral and then the admit? I've heard of them using e-mail, phone calls, and also at times they have used snail mail.

Congrats on UDM. I most likely will attend and I am excited about it. We are in the same boat! ha! Waitlisted as St. Thomas, accepted at Cooley and UDM. If St. Thomas accepts you, will you go there instead of UDM? I might, but only because - hey, it's Miami. But UDM has definitely been around longer and has a great rep in MI. I attended STU's "Get a Glimpse of Law School" in February and had a great time. The campus is nice, the students are warm and friendly, and the staff approachable. (Not to mention the warm weather in February!) I'm curious to know what your thoughts are between the two. Good luck!

Orlando

I got into Florida A&M, too, not sure where I am going yet... I went down to Orlando to look at housing in the area. Compared to wear I'm from, it's fairly inexpensive. A cheaper one bedroom was about 550... the one I like that is much nicer is 650... a place like those would run 900+ a month up where I am, so maybe it is middle ground for southern areas? I don't really know. There was a 2 bedroom at the nicer place for 750, and if you found a roommate, splitting that isn't so bad. Have you found anything else out about Orlando?

FIU

Hi, if you have really made the decision to attend Southern, would you be kind enough to withdraw from FIU? It's my top choice and they've put me on hold...I think I'm going to need all the additional seats open that I can get! Thanks!

145 (m) LSAT
Saturday, March 18 2006 at 07:00 PM

My advice for those of you that have a low LSAT is to apply as early as possible to schools that are considered tier 4, and apply to the part-time programs. I was accepted partitime and it is very tough. Disregard the comments from all of these idiots that know everthing about Law school and make rude comments thru out these sights attempting to kill your moral. I applied my first time around at the deadline or few weeks before it and got nothing. The following year I applied to all my schools in October, as soon at they started taking apps and was accepted in (4) ABA schools with a 145 LSAT (multiple times), and a 3.5 GPA. I am in now and it is very difficult. Some people will not make it, but its all about how bad you want in and how bad you want to stay once in. APPLY EARLY-NO DELAYS!!! By the way, LSAT is Bogus. According to statistics I should have failed. My 1st semester GPA is 3.25. Don't be discouraged.
