1) Dinged at Ohio State University...It was a dream school and a long shot but I had to try...because if you havent tried than you haven't lived. My destiny lies upon different a path...no worries.

Rejection from Virginia, unfortunate but hey...theyre a Top 10 school...no worries.

Waitlisted at Maryland...Wow! I couldn't believe it especially considering my numbers...I am very greatful and I hold out considerable promise for other Top 100 Schools. We'll see what happens...Maryland would definitely be a dream school...

My first Acceptance! Seattle University! with Scholarship funding 7k!? Wow totally unexpected...Hard work does pay off!

Took a little while, but I will recieve no phone interview from Dean Stock. Unfortunate, but such is the way of things...perseverance is the key...Still have one more top 20 dream alive, +

I am becoming more and more impressed with Seattle U as they have continually engaged me through out this process. We shall see where the chips fall when its all said and done.

Waitlisted at Florida...Given my numbers this is somewhat of a Victory. The way I see it being waitlisted is like being given an opportunity to show Admission Committees why they should admit you. Sounds funny, but they like you enough not to flat out reject you, at the same time they are not sure if they should admit you based on what they have in your file.

I'll do my best to battle off these waitlists.

May 22, 2007

Well, I am happy with the application process this time around. While I would have liked to have gotten a few more acceptances to boost my ego, I achieved my goal of getting into at TOP 100 School. Seattle is awesome and I feel right at home in the community. Good Luck to all in the Application Cycle. If anyone has any question please feel free to contact me. All the best.

Thanks for the nice post. We'll get in somewhere!

The UNLV letters are starting to arrive
Tuesday, April 11 2006 at 08:00 PM

... good luck on your waitlist. Your profile looks really good. I think you'd be a great fit in the class this fall. My letter is in the mail and I haven't seen a single late April acceptance.

UNLV

Hey, I was thinking there was no way I was getting off the waitlist, esp. after hearing horror stories from so many people about how UNLV never uses the waitlist, but I am proof that they do - and are! I think you have a really good chance esp. since you're a resident! The seat deposit is due by June 2 so that may be another date for them to start pulling people from the waitlist. GOOD LUCK! Hope to see you @ Boyd in August!!

Good luck with UNLV...

I know it sucks to have all your accomplishments ignored and negated because of one test, but don't get dicouraged. I really hope everything works out with UNLV... good luck again!!!

Try Again

Next time will work out. Re-take the LSAT's again in this winter.

You're my twin with a stronger GPA.

Last year I applied with a 148 and I basically got rejected everywhere except the fourth tier. Well you should be happy with your Seattle acceptance! Hopefully Maryland swings in your favor. Hopefully some of my schools will swing my way this year. Good Luck!

about WashU . . .
Sunday, January 21 2007 at 07:00 PM

I did not receive any correspondence from WashU before my acceptance e-mail. (In fact, I wasn't even sure that they had received my LSDAS report, so the good news was a mighty surprise.) At least according to the website, WashU tries to issue all decisions by early April--so you shouldn't have to wait much longer. Good luck, and congrats on Seattle!

Thanks for the kind words.

Congratulations on Seattle U. Great school in an awesome city. The scholarship is nice too. I think our cycles have a lot of similarities; we are proving that a sub par LSAT isn't the end all of the admissions process. Adcomms can see past a 4 hour test and look at the whole picture. Congratulations once again, and best of luck to you as a 1L.

re: waitlist

I was on the preferred waitlist and sent in an additional statement telling them that UMD was my first choice and explaining why I wanted to go there. If you wanted to give yourself the best shot at getting off the WL, you could tell them you would consider part-time. Good luck!
