Additional info & updates

Hated the LSATs. (Standardized tests are just not my thing) Praying for a miracle with my applications. Hoping that my strong undergraduate gpa will help me out this year.

#1 choice is Seton Hall Law. However, it appears as if they are getting ridiculous with their numbers. We'll see what happens.

Wish me luck! All comments are welcome....

Good luck! I met w/ the Seton Hall guy at our law school fair (concerned about my lsat) and he only mentioned its importance for merit aid. With your high gpa, I def. don't think it's out of the question, esp. b/c they're huge on building a diverse student body. Did you fill out their diversity supplement? Good luck!

Yes! It only took 8 days for them to get back to me. I was quite surprised that it was that quick. Good luck on all your applications!

I hated the LSAT too. i actually tested really well for close to 3 months, averaging in160+. Good luck with you applications. I applied to a few of the schools which you\\\'ve taken a stab at.

re: addendum

Hi. I actually wrote -- what I think is -- a nice addendum explaining the test anxiety, attaching my SAT scores and corresponding predicted GPA at my undergraduate institution and my final GPA which was much higher than predicted, hopefully demonstrating a poor history of standardized tesing, and showing their limited predictive ability when applied to me. I also have a documented processing disbabilty (i.e., the speed in which I process information from paper to brain). I explained how this processing disability is the impetus behind the anxiety, however, when a substance element is introduced to the testing atmosphere (i.e., learning information prior to the test and subsequently applying it analytically at test time), my anxiety is quelled to some degree; this is how I did so well in undergrad, etc.

I'm with you..

Thanks for the well wishes and I know we'll both get somwhere. Plus, with your high GPA, you're bound to make them re-think the LSAT numbers. Good luck with your applications to and hope you get into your #1 school - Seton Hall.

Just getting back to your profile, sorry about Seton Hall. Guess they are stuck on numbers, so I won't hold my breath. Anyway, glad to see you've gotten acceptances and hope the rest goes well.

Suffolk/NESL?

Do you know much about either school? I applied to both a little late. I was JUST notified last week that my apps are Complete. I figured with my low scores, I needed other options besides NC Central. Anyway, any knowledge on which ranks better in Boston? Suffolks numbers are higher, but NESL has an abroad program, more clinics and seemingly more journals. Any info would be great!
