The difference between being deferred and waitlisted is basically a choice has been made. When deferred they've reviewed your file but aren't going to make a decision on it until the re-review itlater. Waitlisted, to me, basically means they've rejected you unless others in front of you don't attend. Might seem a bit negaitive but I think it probably the most realistic way of looking at it because at that point your admission becomes completely reliant upon other applicants.

Any indication from Mercer about a deposit deadline for reserving your seat? Are you leaning toward any particular school right now?
This is really interesting because we have very similar numbers and Mercer is stringing me along and Cumberland has you deferred, have you visited Mercer or Cumberland?
Heh... you should definitely withdraw at Mercer, Gonzaga, and Arkansas. Those are terrible schools. Plus, I want to get accepted at all 3, and I need the spots.
Can I ask if you did anything in particular to get accepted? I'm shooting blanks here for my acceptances.

Sure is cheap. Samford is a nice place. I know someone who went there and she loved the whole experience.

Yeah my application is technically in the "hold" category meaning they've made no decision yet. I went ahead and put waitlisted because there is no hold label and I just wanted to have something there but I suppose deferred is probably a bit more accurate.
