Additional info & updates

3/7/2006 - In at UALR, Tulsa, and Loyola.

So far got into all the schools I expected to get into, hoping that I can get into the schools where my numbers aren't wowing anyone. Im hoping my PS and Recs will help but they can only do so much.

I shall Pray about it and just wait and see what's in store for me...to be continued.

3/13/2006 - Got into Samford on Sat., pretty excited but still really expensive. Still waiting on a couple.

3/14/2006 - Got a letter from Louisville saying my application is on "hold." Guess I have to wait a little longer on this one.

3/17/2006 - Rec'd reject letter from UTK, was kind of expecting it but it still stings b/c it would have been a great school to attend with in-state tuition.

3/31/2006 - F'in Tulane.

4/5/2006 - In at Memphis, haven't received the actual letter yet...found out via internet check. Memphis is looking pretty nice with in-state tuition. Still waiting on Ole Miss and Louisville.

4/6/2006 - Called over to Ole Miss admissions...I'm on my first waitlist. Also called over to Louisville, they said that I should hear back by May 1st.

4/6/2006 - Rec'd acceptance letter from Memphis and waitlist letter from Ole Miss. The time has come to make some decisions.

4/17/2006 - Dropped off my deposit today for Memphis, looks like I'm gonna be a Tiger. I've withdrawn from all other schools except Ole Miss...I'm going to wait and see if they let me in off the waitlist and if they do I'll have to make another decision but I'll deal with that later. I'm just really glad the whole process is over.

In response to your Tulsa inquiry: I rec'd a letter with my acceptance packet that stated I had been approved for a scholarship for 2006-2007 in the amount of $15,000. One-half of the scholarship will be credited to the fall semester while the other half to the spring. The offer is renewable every year provided I maintain a 3.0 GPA.

I'm also accepted at Tulsa. What have you heard about the school in general?

tu feedback

Thanks for the feedback regarding what you have heard about TU and their ranking in terms of non-traditional students. The median age is still mid-20's, but I think the networking opportunities and business venture possibilities might be even better, having a decent number of older students, married students, etc. The student I met was 1L, retired military officer and had moved his family several hundred miles for this opportunity.

I just didn't have a desire to go to Fayetteville for the next three years.

ARK OR LSU

Not sure yet; I am actually visiting them both next week (along with Ole Miss). I am really really hoping that there is a chance to get off the Ole Miss WL though since I think they might be the best fit for me... What are you thinking??

Thanks for the info...

I think I am leabing towards LSU right now but I just can't even think of making a decision before I go visit these places and see where I have the best 'feeling', ya know?
