10/01/09: First LOR has been sent via snail mail today by Prof!
10/13/09: First Draft of PS is complete. Second LOR has been received by LSAC!
10/19/09: Started filling out first App! Finished 2nd Draft of PS! Got two fee waivers via email: Loyola L.A. and Baylor but not sure if I will even apply.
10/20/09: Tulsa Fee Waiver...again, not sure if i will even use it.
10/21/09: Some law schools were on campus today: fee waivers from Emory, Michigan State, and an emailed fee waiver from Brandeis.
10/27/09: Offered Fee Waiver from Suffolk Law!
10/29/09: Offered Fee Waiver from Villanova! Finished 3rd Draft of Personal Statement.
11/04/09: Offered Fee Waiver from BU!
11/16/09: I have finally had a chance to finish one application. I sent in the Suffolk App electronically. Yay! I called and they said they recieved everything and it is complete (minus one letter which I told them to hold off for). This is my top choice due to their fantastic civil lit. cert. ::fingers crossed::
11/17/09: I finished 4 more apps today minus paying for them lol. I will be submitting them by the end of the week! I spoke to someone at Suffolk about visiting their campus this winter break...but it doesn't look like they will even be open...
11/19/09: finished and sent wash lee and drexel apps. I am done with BU, Temple, and American-- just have to make some final decisions as to assigning letters. JMLS is done, just have to pay for it.
11/23/09: I have succeed in finishing all my apps. I just have to attach some documents and make a few payments and I will be completely done with law school apps forever!!!yay!
**If anyone has any information about T2 or 3 schools that offer a strong civil litigation spec. and are located in the Northeast I would greatly appreciate it!
1/06/2010: I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday break. I have entered my very last semester of undergrad and it couldn't have gotten here fast enough. I am under review at each school I have applied to so far. I will be holding off on applying to other schools until i hear from suffolk. Pray for me please...
1/25/2010: So I buckled down and completed the last four applications of this cycle and paid for them in full. I really hope that I get an acceptance from somewhere soon as my ego is deflating at a rapid pace. I knew i didnt have a shot in hell at bu but i thought gm was at least nomologically possible, perhaps metaphysically possible but def. epistemically possible. Suffolk is my number one choice at this point so I will have to wait and see.
2/1/10: Rejected at a Safe today. It felt a lot like walking on hot coals...down a highway.
2/8/2010: Well i have only heard back from 3 schools so far but no good news has come of it. I am hoping I will get a lay up here soon and then maybe a long shot(or a waitlist at a longshot). I spoke with suffolk today on the phone and they said that my decision was put in the mail this morning(and she didnt sound too impressed). All I can do now is wait but I am def. second guessing my decision not to retake my LSAT in feb! Ill get what i deserve and thats all there is to it. Really need a pick me up right now and this semester's rigor is not helping my cynical attitude. Wish me luck!
2/17/2010: Just spoke with the Dean of Admission at Suffolk and it looks like my app has been re-----evaluated ...in other news, I need something to do this summer...any advice?
2/18/2010: The fact that I have not been dinged from Washington and Lee surprises me. I hope they don't keep stringing me along for much longer...
2/20/2010: I received the acceptance packet via snail mail today in a large envelope! I am so excited as Suffolk is really a great fit for my particular interest in the law. I am about 80% sure I will be attending Suffolk, however, my status changed to Letter Sent for Wash. and Lee and so I do have some other options which I need to wait on. I am planning a trip to boston for Spring Break to visit the campus and see the city.
2/22/2010: NESL Acceptance Package came in today via snail mail. Large Envelope. Nice hand written note attached to the letter detailing some highlights of my PS. Scholarship would have to be quite significant in order for me to consider matriculating.
2/25/2010: Just was notified that I received the Dean's Scholarship at NESL worth 18k per year for a total of 54,000. This makes things tricky. I am waiting on a financial aid award w/ need-based money from Suffolk which hopefully brings the costs down substantially
3/11/2010: First off, thanks for all the positive messages on my board! A few minutes ago I got home from my visit to Boston. I took tours and sit in on classes at NESL and Suffolk. If anyone would like specific info about either school just pm me. I will say that Suffolk Law seems absolutely amazing. I am waiting to find out my need based and merit based scholarship fate and then I will have to make a very difficult decision.
03/16/2010: It says on my JMLS status checker that a decision was rendered last week. I am also "UNDER REVIEW" at Villanova. My primary concern right now is getting scholly $ from Suffolk but an acceptance from Temple or Villanova would be pretty nice too.
03/23/2010:Rejected at Villanova. Found out via status checker. Wow most T1-T2 law schools were not too impressed with me. Oh Well. These decision-makers will be kicking themselves when I am serving on the SCOTUS. All I am really concerned with is being in a position to afford law school. Frankly, Boston is everything I am looking for in a city and there is nothing I want more than to matriculate to law school there!
5/27/2010: Moving to Boston! I will be taking the merit scholarship as well as the need based aid I received, and ill ride the TTTT wave. For those of you reading this and hoping to learn something for your cycle my advice is simple. Study LSAT as much and as hard as you can. And apply early..good luck all...
Good luck on the LSAT!! I am taking it Saturday and am kind of freaking out as well.
