11/8-First acceptance, Ohio State via phone call !

11/25- Back from Thanksgiving to find Pitt acceptance in thick envelope

11/26- Finally got the package my mail center wouldn't give me yesterday.. Into American!! Yay my first DC school!

12/07- Really excited, in at Maryland, another DC option.

12/19- Voicemail from George Mason accepting me this AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1/21- Waitlist letter from Georgetown (after status check went to decision). Bummer but better than an outright rejection.

1/28- Email for UIUC letting me know my application is on "hold," not overly surprised or disappointed

2/4- Rejected by GWU via thin envelope. A bit disappointed, but not that surprised, was hoping for a waitlist.

2/19- Mortiz Merit Scholarship for $8,250 renewable every year, w/ a 2.5..Great news!

3/11 - 99% sure I'll be at Mason in the fall! Waiting on fin. aid but probably sending in the deposit shortly thereafter.

3/14- In at Indiana; will be withdrawing soon..scholarship received on 3/25 along with official acceptance.

3/15- DENIED at Illinois via online status check, getting rejected online is brutal; oh well, couldn't have gone anyway

4/23- After some financial aid negotiating manage to get $8,000 a year (renewable if in top 1/4) from Mason. REALLY EXCITED for next year!!

4/30/08-UNC Waitlist :(

Georgetown PT

Hey, if you're really interested in DC, perhaps throw in an app for GULC's part-time program? I thought I'd never consider PT, but GULCs looks pretty decent

OSU

Hey, congrats on OSU I think the 25th - 75th percentile at GULC 3.5/162 - 3.75/167. And I think you can transfer to FT either after the first semester or after the first year and graduate in 3 total. Might be a little reach, but probably worth a shot

Congratulations. Just a quick question: Did American notify you of being complete? And if so, how?

Wow!!!

i am so ready to hear from gw, i wish we could fast forward time. out of the schools you have gotten in to so far, where would you rather go?

Yep
Saturday, January 05 2008 at 07:00 PM

Headed towards DC (actually vising the area schools this weekend). However, it's currently a derby between GWU and UMD I think.

i saw you are attending! that is what im thinking too actually, are you going to the asw in april?

why top choice?
Sunday, February 10 2008 at 07:00 PM

I am considering both U MD and Mason.. any particular reason why you chose Mason over MD?

Mason
Sunday, February 10 2008 at 07:00 PM

Thanks... I am going to the GMU ASW myself, so maybe I'll run into you there! I guess right now I'm leaning towards MD for its enviro law program and bc B'more is a little cheaper than NoVA/DC. They're both good schools, so I'm not terribly worried.

GMU over OSU?
Sunday, January 06 2008 at 07:00 PM

We're number twins and both got into OSU and GMU. But I'm curious to know why you chose GMU. I'm still in a dilemma here so any feedback would help!
